The Swarm Anima Squad PvE game mode, which can be accessed directly in theLeague of Legendsclient, is Riot Games’ highlight in-game summer 2024 event.
The skinline was first introduced in 2022, which reimagines champions as enhanced warriors with cybernetic animal themes and superpowers.
Together, these superhuman fighters unite against a common enemy — abyssal Primordians who have invaded their planet and are threatening to end all civilization.
Four League of Legends champions have been cast as major Primordian players, namely Aatrox, Bel’Veth, Rek’Sai, and Briar who is affiliated with both sides, which is why she’s playable.
What exactly is the Anima Squad PvE game mode?
For longtime League players, you’d know that previous PvE game modes took on many forms, diving into various game genres that deviate from the standard MOBA.
One genre that hasn’t been made before into a special LoL game mode before is the bullet heaven survivor genre, which we now get to experience this summer. In this genre, players must navigate through intricate patterns of bullets while attempting to survive.
Expect your screen to be filled with a large number of projectiles, requiring precise movements and strategic positioning to avoid being hit.
Anima Squad features a co-op player versus environment gameplay where you may play solo, or add up to three teammates to form a full party of four. The difficultly changes according to your party size, so don’t worry about going solo.
Notably, League’s latestmage champion Aurora, the Witch Between Worlds, is featured in this game mode. You can use her in her debut skin, Battle Bunny Aurora.
