Here are some straightforward answers about in-game mechanics.
How To Use The Scanner
On PC, using the scanner is as simple as pressingleft Alton the keyboard, but on consoles it’s a bit more difficult.
On Xbox and Playstation, you will need to tap theRight Bumpertwice and then hold it down after the second tap, otherwise the scanner will just last for a second.
How To Throw Objects
A bit like scanning, the mechanic for throwing objects isn’t really explained very well. When you use the interact button to pick the object up (Fon PC, orRight Bumperon consoles) you’ll just drop the box or whatever after you’ve tapped the button. To actually throw the item, you need tohold the button down for longerand then release it after a short wait.
How To Equip Weapon Cartidges
Another tricky mechanic is how to equip cartridges on your weapon. It’s relatively straightforward, if a little obsfucated by the UI.
First, you will actually need to upgrade and unlock Cartridges, done via the crafting terminals located in the safe rooms. To learn more about upgrading your weapons, check out our guide.
