The Sims 4kits come in different types: Architecture and Decor, Everyday Activities, Outdoor Adventures, Creator Kit, Family and Friends, and Fashion and Style. These themes span build mode, gameplay, and create-a-sim. Because the kits are so specifically focused, it means they offer items relating to just one of these particular aspects of the game.
Here we take a look at all the create a sim focused kits on offer to see which offers the most versatile range of clothing for your Sims.
For each pack, we’ve noted the kit contents in terms of item types. We haven’t split by masculine or feminine, since most items are tagged and designed primarily as feminine, but all can be worn by either gender. We have noted any items specifically designed for men or kids in the main entry.

The Simtimates pack is a nice idea but ultimately ends up being quite limited. While the designs are great, the items are primarily bras and pants, and most are very much designed to be shown off only in close quarters. For this reason, they are all limited in use.
There’s one shirt and a set of pyjamas, both designed for a masculine shape, and one pair of more unisex trousers, that could just about pass outside the bedroom, but mostly these items will rarely be seen. They fill a gap in your Sims wardrobe, but there’s also a reason creating a lot of underwear has never been of high priority.

The Sweet Slumber Party kit is the definition of a beautifully designed but incredibly niche kit. It includes several casual nightwear items, alongside slippers, socks, and slumber party essentials.
There’s a sleepmask, facial stars, face masks and pore strips for pampering. You’ll also find two sets of cute nail designs. These do fill a gap, but most items here have very little use outside a slumber party setting. The nightwear is unique, but again, it is still incredibly limited in use.

Carnaval Streetwear is as fabulous as it sounds, but you also need some fabulous Sims to pull it off. The vibrant shirts, skimpy tops, fabulous nails, and niche makeup are looks it’s hard to wear in most circumstances. It can also be very difficult to find other items to match them.
Sulani is a great place to vibe in items from this pack, but sadly you’ll just be reminded that there’s not actually a proper Carnaval in the game to celebrate. We’re all dressed up with nowhere to go.

The poolside splash kit offers a reasonable selection of swimwear, including some for children. There are mix and match tops and bottoms as well as one pieces. You’ll also get swimsuits with waterwings as well as some sunglasses, sandals and a couple of pieces of jewellry.
If you only have base game swimwear, this is a nice selection. It has bikinis, shorts, one pieces, and cover ups. Unfortunately, the waterwings and swim ring only come with swimwear and aren’t seperate, and swimwear itself has limited uses.
The Throwback Fit kit comprises a range of retro-styled sportswear. There are a few more versatile pieces in here compared to some kits, but it’s still mostly just a lot of eye-catching colour. The items are also not as varied as in other kits and are fewer in number.
A bonus of this pack is that kids finally have something. The bucket hat accessory has three versions, for toddlers to adults, and there’s also a kid’s tracksuit and top as well as a pair of sneakers. It’s just a shame there’s not a little more variety in the pieces.

The Moonlight Chic kit is a nice selection of clothing that includes some more everyday staples, as well as some evening wear. There are even some accessories to top it off.
The reason this kit doesn’t rank higher is mostly because a number of the pieces are quite similar to things already in the game. However, if you don’t have DLC that includes such pieces as smart jackets, colour faded dresses, and cargo pants, then you’ll get more value from this kit.

The Fashion Street kit has an excellent spread of items available. Not only are they balanced in terms of the item types, but there’s also a good split of male and female clothing. The pack comprises a solid selection of everyday clothes in a style under-represented in the game.
The addition of henna patterns for hands, as well as shoes and accessories, means you can really tie together a look from this pack without having to scamper for matching items. It’s like a perfect capsule wardrobe.

The Grunge Revival kit is another which offers a spread of items in a specific style. There is a solid range of tops including a t-shirt, hoodie, shirt and jacket, as well as both shorts and long trousers.
The kit is perfectly accessorised by a hat, glasses, jewellry, a couple of new tattoo options, and some new nail varnish swatches. The items also match well with the Werewolf pack’s aesthetic, bringing more versatility to the grunge pieces we already have without feeling the same.
The Urban Homage kit was designed with input from Ebonix, who wanted to embrace a bold and unapologetic style which means a lot to her. Self expression is key here with a selection of unique items that span several categories.
The standouts here are the jewellery pieces which comprise multiple rings, layered necklaces and multi earring combos. The clothing items include some staples, casual items and a couple of more dressy tops.

Incheon Arrivals is a capsule wardrobe that includes items with a good range of versatility. you may pull together looks ranging from casual jeans and a hoodie or plaid shirt, up to a smart suit, with several stops in between.
These pieces are all neutral so will easily slide into a variety of Sims wardrobes, no matter what their usual style. You’ll also find a range of pieces designed for both male and female frames with many gender-neutral options. The pack also includes outdoor coats, which are an often overlooked item.
