Digi Egg cards are the basis of your Digimon stacks and give your cards powerful inheritable effects that can give you that extra edge when you need it the most, whether in the shape of an extra card in your hand or extra DP to topple over your opponent’s Digimon.
10Argomon
While green doesn’t have many generic eggs, Argomon is one of the best in the color. Green has a lot of different effects in their arsenal, but the one that is most commonly used is suspending to activate other effects. Whether it is using cards like Hidden Potential Discovered through the Digisorption keyword, or even just attacking, suspending your own Digimon will always leave you at an advantage while playing green.
Argomon will give you one extra memory to work with for the next turn whenever your Digimon unsuspends. Combined with the Mimi Tachikawa Tamer card, Argomon can net you loads of memory quickly.
9DemiVeemon
There are many generic blue Digi Eggs that can be used in almost any deck in the color, but DemiVeemon is a bit different from those. This Digi Egg, while not restricted to a specific archetype, can only be activated if the attacking Digimon has the Jamming keyword.
While Jamming is a keyword that is mostly at home in Blue, its constant draw is essential as a small package for decks that utilize powerful blue options like Kaiser Nail. Combined with a Rookie with Jamming, DemiVeemon is a powerful engine that also opens up many strategies for non-blue decks.
8Dorimon
After the first couple of sets in the Digimon Card Game,Bandaistopped printing generic Digi Eggs for more archetype-exclusive Eggs that further support those strategies. To an extent, Dorimon is one of those cards. Whenever a card is added underneath Dorimon as a Digivolution source, you get to draw one card.

The deck that Dorimon was built for was Alphamon, whose cards have many effects that add cards underneath themselves, but it is printed in a way that is still somewhat generic. BT11 decks like Vemmon, whose whole gimmick is to add other Vemmon cards from the trash, can utilize Dorimon as well.
7Pagumon
The color Black always seems like an afterthought when it comes to the Digimon Card Game and Bandai. The color is known for a defensive style with many reactive plays and the unique Dedigivolve mechanic, yet by the way that the meta moves, blockers aren’t as good, and Dedigivolving without destroying the card only slows down your opponent a bit before they can recover with another “When Digivolving” effect.
The more interesting Black decks tend to do their own thing when it comes to gameplay. Decks like D-Brigade, a rookie rush-like deck with a powerful top end, can use Pagumon quite well since your smaller cards will probably get deleted and in turn float into another card in your hand.
6Viximon
Although most people might say that yellow Upamon is the best egg when it comes to yellow, it would be unfair to take the spot from Viximon. While Upamon is great when you play a yellow deck that is a bit more aggressive, Viximon gets you an extra draw whenever you use an Option card with a cost of two or more.
This effect works better in tandem with what most yellow decks already do, which is stall and recover using option cards. Sakuyamon is the best suited to use Viximon, but top-tier decks like Security Control can take advantage of Viximon’s effect through the myriad of Option cards that the deck uses.
5Bebydomon
Mostly used as a meta-dependent egg, Bebydomon can be deadly when used correctly. Outside an OTK meta, where players are building huge single stacks of Digimon, Bebydomon can outshine Upamon.

Not only does this egg activate when your opponent has two or more Digimon in play, but cards like EX-03 Dracomon, which evolve from a Level two for one memory, can evolve for free on top of a Bebydomon, buffing decks like Examon and speeding up the climb exponentially.
4DemiMeramon
Purple’s main gimmick in the Digimon Card Game is triggering effects by deleting your own Digimon or utilizing already trashed resources to proc other effects. DemiMeramon can help you speed up the process by getting you an extra card in hand and sending another to the trash.
There have been other Digi Eggs that have great effects as well but DemiMeramon is miles ahead of the pack. With decks like Beelzemon and Beelstarmon that want as many cards in the trash as possible, DemiMeramon is the best option available.
3Upamon
The king of Blue Digi Egg cards is hands-down Upamon. Many decks within Blue can use their effects to trash Digivolution cards, helping you trigger the draw from Upamon easily, but just as many as source-stripping effects that Blue has, there are as many decks that like to hard play Digimon rather than Digivolve, meaning Upamon will, most of the time, be live.
Upamon is the definition of generic support and combined with a blue base of eggs being so popular to use cards like Cocytus Breath and Kaiser Nail, make this card a must-have in any player’s collection.
2Pickmons
Just like Dorimon, Pickmons is not a generic Egg that everyone can agree just works with many decks in its color. Instead, Pickmons isonly made for the Xros Heart deck. On paper, it sounds like it’s not as impressive as other Eggs since all other Eggs usually trigger upon attacking, but what makes Pickmons so good is that Xros Heart is a deck that is built on the strategy of being aggressive, even with Rookie Digimon.
Rookies that can be recycled through the Save keyword and a deck that doesn’t deviate from the same sixteen Rookies in every list, make Pickmons an absolute must for all Xros Heart enthusiasts.
1Gurimon
One of the biggest problems found inthe color Red in the Digimon Card Gameis that decks tend to brick more than often and there aren’t many cards that can get you more draws besides Digivolving or Fire Ball, but even then, the two-cost option only gets you the draws if there is no target for its deletion effect.
That’s where Gurimon comes in. As the best Egg in red, Gurimon is played in almost every deck for a reason. As long as your Digimon is 6,000 or more DP, Gurimon will allow you to draw a card.
