In Victorian-era London, 12-year-old Ciel Phantomhive inherits his title and position as Earl after a tragic event on his tenth birthday.

During a summoning ceremony, Ciel forms a contract with a demon who helps him seek revenge on those responsible for his family’s downfall.
In the same vein, Ciel becomes the Queen’s Watchdog, investigating cases for the Queen of England.
