RELATED:Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth - How To Get The Best Ending

This grand dungeon is a bit cramped and will turn you around if you don’t use an Eye of Heaven and make liberal use of the map, but it’s easily taken down in one or two short runs. The boss himself is pretty unique, too - you might not even have to fight him.

Brahms Castle Overview

Brahms Castle will unlock in Chapter 3but is not discovered through Spiritual Concentration. It’s located on the west of the world map, on an island of its own. you may definitely take on and complete Brahms Castle when it unlocks, but there are a few tough enemies inside, and if you want the bragging rights of defeating Brahms himself, it’s best towait until Chapter 6 or Chapter 7, when you’re far stronger.

Brahms Castle has a timer- afterfour minutes, you are unceremoniously kicked out to the world map and have to try again. It’s theoretically possible to complete the entire dungeon in one run, but it’s stressful, sowe’ve broken the dungeon down into two ‘runs’- one run to pick up half of the treasure, and a second run in which you’ll grab the rest of the treasure and then face Brahms.

It contains aFlare Baselard.

To pick up and then drop a chest without breaking it, interact with the chest without crouching. Lenneth will pick the chest up. Then, move to a part of the room where you’ll be able to access the chest from both sides, and then jump - the chest will drop to the floor, but will not break.

How To Beat Brahms

When youmeet and confront Brahms, you’ll witness some very important dialogue. After a bit of back and forth, you are presented with a choice: if you choose to ‘fight on regardless’ you will fight Brahms. If you ‘pause to consider,’ on the other hand, you won’t get to fight him and you’ll leave the dungeon.

If you are concerned withgetting the best ending, don’t worry about your choice here - simplymeeting Brahms is enough to drop your Seal Valueenough for the purposes of meeting the ending’s prerequisites.

Brahms is incredibly resistant to all forms of physical attack, including Purify Weird Souls from physical characters. It stands to reason, then, thatthe answer is magic- he will take full damage from magic attacks and you basically have to use them to beat him.

If you want to beat Brahms quicker, consider bringing two, or even three sorcerers to the fightif you have enough trained up!

With stronger spells likeLightning BoltandPoison Blow, you should be able to shave off much of his health every turn. Brahms does attack with ferocity, however, so you’ll want to verify you have the firepower and healing resources to beat him before he wears your team down - this is why we recommend waiting until a few chapters after Brahms Castle becomes available before taking it on.

Don’t worry if you lose against Brahms, the game will continue regardless and you are not blocked from getting Ending A.

How To Solo Brahms With One Sorcerer

This Nanami build is able to hitover 9,000 damage per Poison Blow. The only required items are the following:

Unicorn’s Horn

Incredibly high damage

Transmutate the Unicorn Hornfrom Brahms Castle with the Creation Jewel (you could also use anEther Scepter)

Increases magic damage

Reduces CT by 2

Divine Itemsfrom Chapter 5 onwards

We use Nanami as an example, butthis build should work with any sorcerer in the game. Sorcerers who join later in the game, such as Lorenta, might have a better time of it thanks to higher base Intelligence.

As long as youkeep the front three characters alivewith Elixirs, Union Plumes, and luck, Nanami can solo Brahms. If you get a chance to build a combo, thePoison Blow PWSwill also deal a great amount of damage.
