In order to gather these raw ores, it’s recommended that youpair Blacksmithing with Miningto acquire the goods yourself and avoid spending gold on the Auction House.

Alternatively, if you already have a gathering character in place, you can also pick upJewelcraftingas a second profession, as that also uses the same ores.

How To Rank Up In Blacksmithing

If you’re looking to level through Blacksmithing quickly, then you’re in luck. This isone of the easier professions to level, provided that you have enough gold to continue tobuy new recipes from your trainer and a good stock of ores.

At this point, you should pick up theFrostfire AlloyandPrimal Molten Alloyrecipes for later.

Once you’ve earned the Explorer’s Expert Helm recipe, you’ll find thatKuroko no longer has recipes to sell to you. If you want to keep going and reach the highest rank in Blacksmithing, you’ll need to find your own recipes throughworld drops or specializations.

Specialty Smithing

Specialty Smithingisn’t as straightforward as the others, but masters in this tree are able to crafthigher quality profession equipment and consumables, cornering a specific market on the Auction House to earn gold very quickly.

The fourth and last specialization,Hammer Control, is the jack of all trades talent tree. If none of the other choices appeal to you, these perks give youoverall efficiencywhile you’re crafting, and even offer a bonus chance tosalvage back some of your materialsfrom a recipe.
