Blacktailis a fairytale-based game following the path of a young witch called Yaga. One of the main parts of the game is choosing the path in which you want to take, whether that be Good or Evil. The decisions you make will impact how the forest evolves around you and how creatures will react to you.

While you make your way through the story and side missions in search of your older sister, you need to collect resources and find lost pages. This is really important because these are needed for unlocking your new skills.
How To Unlock Skills
There are lots of skills to unlock in Blacktail that control the sorts of arrows you can craft, movement skills, Broom skills and also Hocuses. One of the unique aspects of this skill system isneeding resources to be able to unlock the skills. Before you can start unlocking skills you will need to haveplayed the game up to the point where you find the Hut.Once you have found the Hut you will unlock the Cauldron there, and this is the only way for you to brew the skills.
This is because you need touse the Cauldron to brew the potion with the correct resourcesto unlock them. Not only do you need the resources, but you also need tofind Lost Pages. These unlock the recipe for the skill to be brewed. Lost Pages are found bycompleting main missions and side quests, but can also be found in Chests, Chest Beasts and Warden Treasures.
Bear in mind thatWarden Treasures can only be unlocked with certain Morality Titles. Some Skills are unlocked through progress and do not require Pages. In total there are 27 Lost Pages to find.
Hex
The Broom
A Broom that you may place down to taunt nearby enemies.

Deflect Hocus
A forcewave is sent out in an arc, within melee range.
Snake
Witch Apprentice
Unlocks Sunlight Hocus for Good Morality and Leech Hocus for Evil Morality.
Fletcher
You craft two Hex Arrows instead of one, for the same resources.
Goat
Antidote
It cures you when poisoned, and you will be immune to poison for a short amount of time.
Raven
Sharpshooter
When you draw back your bow it is now a lot faster.
Alakazam
You have three more Mana on top of the Abracadabra Skill.
First Blood
If you land a power shot as your first shot then the damage is increased.
Fungal Infusion
The Hunter potion will now slow down time when you ADS.
Grandma’s Syrup
You get a longer immunity to poison when using the Antidote.
Hunter Potion
Temporarily muffles your footsteps, makes you hasted and immune to confusion, it also prevents tiring from nocking arrows.
You will collect Wood and Feathers automatically now.
Spring Cleaning
If you shoot the Broom when placed it will slow any enemies in its range.
Starry Eyes
When you use the Blink Idol you regain the arrow used.
Sticky Bee Arrows
Sticky Arrows now slow down the enemy for longer and do damage over time.
Survivalist
You can hold more resources, get less fatigued when loading arrows, and harvest more meat when hunting.
The Eye
The Broom’s eye will look around and slow any enemies in its view.
What Resources Are Needed
The main resource you are going to need when unlocking skills is Teeth. These can be found in anyChest or Beast Chest, with some giving out one Tooth and others three Teeth. You will also need to find:
Unlocking Hex Buffs
Certain skills will belinked to a Hex animal, which is shown at the top of the skill tree. Each skill that links to a Hex will have the corresponding animal on it. By unlocking a certain amount of each Hex Skill you willunlock that Hex, which will give you a buff. The Hexes are as follows:
Once you have unlocked the Hexes,you may only have one active at a time.You canchange them as and when you wantat the Cauldron in the Hut.
