TheDead SpaceRemake is right around the corner, and while it’s scary to peek, some of you just can’t help yourselves. Answering a question on Twitter, the upcoming game’s official account confirmed that not only would there be an alternative secret ending to 2008’s modern classic, but also a new game plus mode, level six suit, and phantom necromorph variants.We already knew about the secret ending thanks to the trophy list being revealedearly, but this is the first we’ve heard about new game plus or the new kinds of necromorphs. Gamers excited for the game flooded the comments, as did Walmart Canada Gaming, strangely. Over on the Dead Spacesubredditpeople are speculating that this could be some sort of invisible creature, or one that always tries to stay behind you until its chance to strike, or a decoy that isn’t really there. People are getting prepared though, “Time to get my spare pants out,” wrote FenrirsHunger86.
People in the replies are speculating as to what exactly a “Level 6 Advanced Suit” is, with some believing it to be a skin from Dead Space 2. They’re all excited though, even if they’re not entirely sure what it is. We’re also not sure exactly how to unlock the secret ending, just that the tweet makes it only seem possible via new game plus.
We’ve also hadhints from legendary horror director John Carpenter that there may be a Dead Space movie in the works, following hispraise for the series. If true, it would mean EA is keen to revive this series in a big way. He said, “I’m not gonna do it. I think they already have another director involved. And they haven’t asked me to do it.”
