Destiny 2 Ergo Sum god roll guide — a sword worth using!
Slice and dice.
Among the new weapons introduced inThe Final Shape expansionis Ergo Sum, an exotic Energy sword that drops with random intrinsics/traits, and uses “Special” ammo to deal elemental damage.
Follow our Ergo Sum god roll guide for instructions on how to get the Ergo Sum and its best PvE/PvP weapon builds in Destiny 2.
How to get the Ergo Sum in Destiny 2
To get the Ergo Sum, beatThe Final Shape campaignand start a questline with Ghost. Here’s how:
Getting Ergo Sum in the quest line lets you grind for new rolls. To do this, head to The Pale Heart’s Pathfinder and collect the Ergo Sum rewards. You can do this twice a week.
Destiny 2 Ergo Sum god roll for PvP
Ergo Sum brings a lot to the table in PvP. So the god roll is focusing on damage, agility, buffs, and uptime on Transcendence.
Grinding for this set of intrinsics is well worth it due to Gathering Light’s buff alone. Pair this up with Burst Guard to give you more resistance out in the field, and more ability energy when you need it.
Tempered Edge makes your swings more lethal during Wave Sword Frame.
Getting more final blows with Ergo Sum this way lets you continuously proc Gathering Light and Transcendent Duelist, increasing the uptime of your Transcendence.
Destiny 2 Ergo Sum god roll for PvE
PvE melee builds prioritize speed and single-target damage. The Perfect Fifth is a fantastic intrinsic for building up your Light energy (virtually for free) while dealing impressive damage on enemies weak to Solar.
Similarly to PvP, we’re pairing Wave Sword Frame with Transcendent Duelist. But this time, we’re rolling with the Swordmaster’s Guard for more Heavy Attacks.
