Swift Slash nerfed
On the PvP side of things, only one player ability has been adjusted for v1.12.3 and that’sSwift Slash.
Swift Slash is a new Ash of War you can use with the Backhand Blades in Shadow of the Erdtree. The ability is a quick forward double-slash that lets you blink before unleashing a wide Malenia-like “shearing vacuum effect”.
Knowing how hard players have been spamming Swift Strike in the Colosseum, the devs decided tolower its damage and shorten its damage animation, making the Backhand Blade ability easier to evade.
Elden Ring 1.12.3 — general balance changes
These changes affect gameplay across the board, applying to the Lands Between and PvP.
The main change this time involves boss positions in your rematch against the Golden Hippopotamus and General Gaius. From now on, both bosses will be located in the “same position” as before, making their encounters less confusing.
