What is the Esports World Cup 2024?
The 2024 Esports World Cup is a multi-game tournament hosted by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) and ESL FACEIT Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The tournament features competitions in 22 different games, including Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege.
Each game has its independent qualification structure. The championship series for each title is part of the larger Esports World Cup.
Additionally, there is a Club Competition across all games for participating organizations.
Esports World Cup 2024 R6 Siege format
The Esports World Cup 2024 R6 Siege tournament has two main stages: the group stage and the playoffs.
The group stage features 16 teams split into two groups of eight. Teams within each group compete in a double-elimination bracket. All matches in the group stage are single matches, except for the elimination rounds.
The elimination matches, which determine which teams advance, are played in a best-of-three format. The top four teams from each group progresses to the playoffs.
The playoffs is single-elimination bracket featuring the eight teams that advanced from the group stage. All matches in the playoffs, except the grand final, are best-of-three.
The finals is a best-of-five series, where the two remaining teams battle it out for the Esports World Cup title.
