Even though you’re a lone pilot taking on the missions inSwordship, it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any resistance. In fact, the elitesliving in underwater cities are willing to throw every single defensive measure they have at you. They’ll activate explosives, automated turrets, drones, and enemy ships to take you down.

Now, even though you have the potential to be the pride and joy of those you’re fighting for, you don’t have any real weapons yourself. Your best defense is to use enemy fire against itself through crafty piloting. It’ll also be to your benefit to knowwhat kind of enemies you can expect.
The City Defenses
While piloting the Swordship, you’ll need to fly over the three elite underwater cities to steal their container. Each City has three levels (Lines), which each have a certain number of containers available to steal.
On your way to get the containers, each Line will activate a series of defenses in order to destroy you or at the very least stop you from reaching the containers. Each city deploys a different arrangement of enemy types, but all fall under the following categories: Turrets, flying bots, traps, and beam cannons.
City_01
The first city uses some of the most basic defenses, which gives you a chance to get used to the kind of enemies you can expect. There are four main enemies that you can expect in this city: Turrets, flying enemies, mines, and beam cannons. The turrets are fairly easy to deal with, taking a while to lock on to your position before firing a single bullet.
The flying enemies are the most dangerous, being able to track the Swordship before firing three targeted shots with different explosion radiuses. The mines can be set off easily, and then you can dive to safety. The cannons fire in a straight line from their location towards the bottom of the screen which is easy to avoid, butthese enemies are best eliminated quickly so that you can free up more space.
City_02
The second city uses the same enemy types but introduces a new one, as well as new variations of the previous ones. For instance, mines now come in the form of mine dispensers that release mines periodically to float toward you. you may quickly deal with them by staying near the dispenser and setting off the mines as they spawn. Thebeam cannons now fire horizontally (left and right) across the screen, still easy to avoid, but also limits your movement space.
The new flying enemies launch spinning projectiles, which are telegraphed by short red lanes at the bottom of the screen.Since they track you until the moment they fire, you can use these projectiles to accurately take out other enemies. Regarding the new enemy introduced, it is a flamethrower that shoots a spread of constant fire that slowly rotates around it. It has a pretty short range but can be troublesome when joined by others.
City_03
The final city eliminates some enemy types but should by no means be taken lightly. It includes both beam cannon variants and upgraded flying and turret enemies.Flying enemies use target attacks again, but they fire in bursts of two this time and are much faster. Turrets will now shoot a lingering beam instead of a bullet which further restricts movement space.
A new enemy appears, similar to the mine dispenser, but this one instead launches balls of fire towards your position. These projectiles move much faster and with less time between shots. Even more dangerous is thatshould the ball come into contact with a beam, it will trigger a massive explosion. Fortunately, the fireballs, flying shots, and turret beams can be used to quickly eliminate other enemies so do your best to keep the screen as free as possible.
