RELATED:Tales Of Symphonia Remastered: Complete Guide To Tech
If you prefer a character’s Strike or Technical Tree, you’re able to use EX-Skills to tip the scale in its favor, allowing you to hard-focus on earning Tech from a specific Tree. Not only is this beneficial for every character, but it also enables you to get the most out of every party member, making it an excellent way to compose builds.
EX-Skills Overview
Before we dive into each character’sEX-Skills,let’s go over the basics to highlight their role and importance to the overall combat system of Tales of Symphonia Remastered. First and foremost, EX-Skills are only one part of the comprehensive EX system, as they can also be used to grant youCompound EX-Skills,which are better passive effects obtained byequipping two or more specific EX-Gemsat the same time.
Due to the importance and valuableness of Compound EX-Skills, you will want to weigh your options and consider them before making your decision.EX-Gems cannot be unequipped, meaning theycan only be replacedwith other EX-Gems. Furthermore, you can onlyobtain EX-GemsbyStealing from Bosses, defeating them, looting Chests, or purchasing themfrom theKatzfrom Asgard, Triet, Palmacosta, Hima, and Luin. However, whilebuying them may sound like a good idea, wesuggest against doing soas itrequires Grade, the currency used to carry specific things over to New Game Plus.
Lastly, each character canequip up to four EX-Skills,andevery EX-Gemhasfour levels, each containing different passive effects and bonuses. As a result, the aforementionedCompound EX-Skills require specific Gems,so you do not want to toss all Level Four EX-Gems on your character, as they will likely not synergize together to create a Compound EX-Skill. You can find every playable character’s EX-Skills, Gems, and how to obtain their Compound EX-Skills in the sections below!
