Tales of Symphonia Remasteredhas several ways for you and your party members to unleash devastating attacks, withMystic Artesbeing amongst the most potent actions any character can learn and perform. However, due to how immensely powerful these attacks are, you will need to meet specific conditions during battle to execute them.

As such, you cannot spam Mystic Artes during encounters to steamroll your opponents. Furthermore, learning Mystic Artes can often be just as confusing as trying to understand the requirements needed to actually use them. Fortunately, you can find out how to learn and use every Mystic Arte for all party members below!
Lloyd Irving Mystic Artes
Lloydonly hasone Mystic Arteto learn in Tales of Symphonia Remastered. However, before you can learn it, you will have to meet a few prerequisites, which you can find in the section below!
Once you have met the above requirements, you may finally perform Lloyd’sFalcon’s Crest Mystic Arteduring an encounter. But thatalso has its own list of prerequisitesyou need to meet to execute the attack. To use Falcon’s Crest in battle, youmust have the Material Blade equippedon Lloyd, andhis HP will have to fall to at least 16 percent.When this happens,press the Attack, Guard, and Tech buttons simultaneouslyto launch the Mystic Arte!
Colette Brunel Mystic Artes
Colettealso only hasone Mystic Artethat has some prerequisites you need to tackle first to have the chance to cast it. So, before we get into what it is and how you can use it, let’s briefly go over what you need to learn it. You can find everything you need to know in the following section!
With the above requirements met, you can finally castHoly Judgment,which is Colette’sMystic Arte.However, there is one catch:it will come out randomly when using Holy Song or Judgment.So, if you want to use Colette’s Mystic Arte, you will have tokeep spamming both of those actionsduring encounters andhope one of those times summonsthe wrath of herHoly Judgment.
Genis Sage Mystic Artes
Genisfollows a similar formula as those before him, only having access toone Mystic Artethat requires you to meet specific requirements before you can unlock and use it. You can find the prerequisites to learning his Mystic Arte in the section below!
Requirements
After meeting these requirements,Geniswill learnIndignation Judgment,hisMystic Arte.To use Indignation Judgment in battle, Genis mustcast Indignation while his Over Limit is active.To do this, you mustgain Tension during an encounter,whichhappens when you are hit or when members of your party get KO’d.You can also give yourself Tension byconsuming food the character likes.In this case, anything withMilkwill work for Genis.
Raine Sage Mystic Artes
Unlike the others thus far,Rainehas access totwo Mystic Artesrather than just one, both of which have specific requirements to unlock and use. We willfirstdive into everything needed to obtain herSacred ShineMystic Arte and willthendive into the details of herFairy CircleMystic Arte.
Sacred Shrine Unlock Requirements
Now that you have the above requirements met, you may castSacred Shineduring battle. To do this,Rainemust be in herOver Limit,which can be done byraising her Tensionduring the encounter. This happens whengetting hit or when your party members fallin battle, and it can also beimpacted by eating food you like.In this case,anything with Lemonwill work. Once in yourOver Limit,cast either Ray or Holy Lanceto getSacred Shineinstead!
Fairy Circle Unlock Requirements
You can now useFairy Circleif you have met the above requirements, which also needsRaine to be in her Over Limitto activate.Once in her Over Limit,cast Revitalizeto getFairy Circleinstead. You can learn more about Raine’s Over Limit and how to access it in the section above that covers her Sacred Shine Mystic Arte!
Sheena Fujibayashi Mystic Artes
Sheenais vastly different than everyone else in the game, as shetechnically has access to 10 Mystic Artes,thanks to herSummonsbeing her Mystic Artes. Throughout your playthrough, you willmake pacts with these Spirits,allowing you toSummon them into battlewith Sheena when she is in herOver Limit.Before we get into how to activate her Over Limit, let’s cover all her possible Summons:
Form a pact withLuna and Aska.
Birth Spirit
Form a pact withMaxwell.
Whenever you havemade a pact with any or all of the Spiritslisted above,Sheenawill be able toSummon them into battlewhen herOver Limit is active.Like the others, you will need toaccumulate Tensionwhile playing as Sheena to put her in this state, whichcan be influencedin various ways.Taking damage and having your party fallduring battle will build Tension the quickest, but having a charactereat their favorite foodduring an encounter will also help accrue Tension. For Sheena,anything with Ricewill help activate her Over Limit!
Zelos Wilder Mystic Artes
Zeloshas access totwo Mystic Artes,both having unique requirements and activation methods, which we will cover in the sections below. ThefirstMystic Arte we will go over is hisHoly Binds,withDivine Judgement immediately following!
Tackling the long laundry list of requirements above will allow you to use Zelos’Holy Binds Mystic Arteduring combat, but only whenhis health is at 16 percent or belowwhile in hisOver Limit state.UsingDemon Spearwhile under these conditionswill cast Holy Binds instead.Like always, you caninfluence a character' Over Limitstate byaccumulating Tension.This can be done bygetting hit by the enemy, having your teammates die in battle,andeating your favorite foodduring an encounter. Anything withMelon, Snapper, and Tunawill work best for Zelon!
Divine Judgement Unlock Requirements
He cancast Divine Judgementbyusing Judgmentwhilein his Over Limit state.You can learn more about how to influence his Over Limit state in the section above that covers his Holy Binds Mystic Arte!
Presea Combatir Mystic Artes
Preseajoins the ranking of characters with access to twoMystic Artes,both of which have specific unlock and use conditions. Thefirstone we will be covering is herInfernal RuinsMystic Arte, whichCrimson Devastationwill then follow.
Infernal Ruins Unlock Requirements
Thanks to theMight Charge Skillin Presea’sEX-Gem,when she enters herOver Limit,she will receive a smallbuffthat allows her tolaunch intoherInfernal RuinsMystic Arteby using Beast.Of course, like the others, you canimpact her Over Limitbyaccruing Tension.This can be done byletting her get hit or having your party members fallin battle. Typically, consuming the character’s favorite food in an encounter will also help, butPresea is indifferent to all recipes.
Crimson Devastation Unlock Requirements
Crimson Devastationis unlocked and activated very similarly to Infernal Ruins. The only difference is the number of times Beast needs to be used and the battle conditions Presea needs to be in to use the Mystic Arte. To use Crimson Devastation,all other party members must be KO’d, Prescea’s HP needs to be down to at least 16 percent,and she needs to be in herOver Limitstate. Under these circumstances,if she casts Beast,theCrimson DevastationMystic Arte will come out instead.
Regal Bryant Mystic Artes
Regaldials things back a bit, as he only has access toone Mystic Arte.In the sections below, we will go over how to obtain it and the battle conditions needed to execute it during an encounter. Like all others, you must meet specific requirements to acquire and use it.
Bryant can activateFanged Finalitybyentering his Over Limit stateandlanding a combothat consists ofthree Tech followed by Forceto close it out. The general strategy here is as follows:
Furthermore,building up Tensionwill propel a character into theirOver Limit state.This can be done byhaving them take hitsin encounters orhaving teammates dieduring combat. you may also have themeat their favorite foodto influence their Tension. In Regal’s case, anything withTofuwill suffice.
Kratos Aurion Mystic Artes
Last and certainly not least, we haveKratos,who only has access toone Mystic Arte.As with all the others, accessing and using this Arte requires you to tackle a few things beforehand, so let’s jump straight into it!
Slight as the requirements may seem, this can trip many people up and may call for a second playthrough on New Game Plus to get. Nonetheless, after you have the Title, you can performHoly Bindsduring encounters, but only undera few abnormal conditions.First,Lloyd cannot be wielding the Material Bladein combat (removing him from the party also works). Secondly,Kratos must have 16 percent or less HP left.When these conditions are met,pressing the Tech, Attack, and Guard buttonssimultaneouslywillactivate Holy Binds!
