A mob boss bear, a cheetah with a nose for a scam, and a mariachi band made out of toucans. These are just some of the colorful characters you’ll meet in Blooming Business: Casino, the new management simulator from French indie studio Homo Ludens and Curve Games. Oh, and it also has a demo out that you can play right now.

Ludens calls Blooming Business: Casino “a satirical take on tycoon formula,” and while there’s nothing funny about alcoholism and organized crime, it’s hard not to find these animal characters disarming. It’s your job to manage these furry little critters from the moment they enter your casino to the minute they leave, ensuring customers have a great time while keeping the riff-raff away.

You can, of course, take a hands-on approach to keep out the wrong clientele, but it’s far easier to just build a casino that they’ll naturally steer clear of. You can customize your casino’s decor to be Greek, rustic, retro-futuristic, or wild west-themed, among others, and certain clients won’t set foot in a casino that has cheap furniture. It’ll be up to you to cater to the type of crowd you want.

Each client has their own tastes, but the VIPs are the ones that you’ll want to spend the most time getting to know. In Blooming Business: Casino’s Mission mode, you’ll be tasked not only with building out a casino and managing its day-to-day affairs, but also getting to know specific characters that could have a significant impact on your future as a business owner. One could be Ant’ny Barr, a mob boss that likes space-themed areas and has expensive tastes. Or another could be Nat Kiddin, a cop that loves an old-fashioned and can spot a scam a mile away. Making these clients regulars might take time, but the rewards will be worth it.

Blooming Business: Casino’s other game mode, Sandbox, lets you build your casino the way you like it, with all items available from the start. Freely style your casino, hire new employees, and manage customers as you please, raking in cash to become the best casino in Las Vennas.

Blooming Business: Casino arrives sometime in 2023, but you won’t have to wait too long for your first taste of the gambling biz thanks to a brand-new free demo available from 2pm onwards onSteam.
