Benjy shared his thoughts about his career transition during the pre-tournament press conference at Masters Madrid.

“I’m very happy to have made the switch from Fortnite to Valorant,” he said. “For me, it was quite a big risk.”

Benjy explained that despite his success and large following in Fortnite, he found the game lacking in competitive depth.

“I’m a very competitive person and Fornite isn’t a competitive game,” he said. “I wanted to do something I enjoyed more and I’d have more motivation for, which is why I made the switch.”

Grateful for the continued support of his fans who followed him over to Valorant, Benjy aims to deliver a strong performance at Masters Madrid.

In 2022, Benjy entered Valorant, initially participating in tier 2 leagues across various Challenger Leagues.

After spending close to a year in the tier 2 scene, he eventually earned a spot in the tier 1 scene when he joined Team Heretics’ roster for the VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier in July 2023.

After refining their strategies in the offseason, Benjy and Heretics surprised the EMEA region with a successful VCT EMEA Kickoff run.
