Earthbreaker - Strengths And Weaknesses

Unlike other Kemono, the Earthbreaker hasno Hunter Arm weak points, but you’ll be able to regenerate Karakuri Thread later in the fight when you need it. TheGliderandSpring Karakuriwill be especially useful for this fight, so be sure to equip them.
Best Equipment To Fight Earthbreaker
Due to the Earthbreaker’s high earth damage, we recommend crafting theGrithide and Ninja armor sets, crafted from Gritdog and Lavaback materials, respectively. A combination of these armor pieces will providegood overall defense and Earth attribute defense.
If you can, spend the time tocraft a Wind Attribute weapon. Although you will be using the Hand Cannon for most of the fight, the final phase will go much faster if your weapon has the Wind attribute.
Earthbreaker - Fight Breakdown And Moves
The battle against the Earthbreaker will play out inseveral phases. You will begin at the campsite you established earlier, and make your way through the forest as the battle progresses.
At the start of the battle, you will be equipped with asimplified version of the Hand Cannon weaponthat Natsume built you. The controls for this weapon are simple, all you may do is shoot. As you shoot, therate of fire will increase, shooting faster the longer you hold the button.
Using the Hand Cannon, you willtarget the blue glowing spots on the Earthbreaker’s neck, back, and arms. By targeting these with the Hand Cannon, you candeal damage and break off the weak points. During this time, the Earthbreaker willattack with rock spikes. This attack has no warning, so it’s best to justtake the hit, heal up, and continue firing. After you’ve destroyed enough of the Earthbreaker’s weak points, you canuse the nearby Flying Vine zip lines to move to the next phase.
This phase of the fightplays out pretty much the same as the first; use the Hand Cannon to break off the Earthbreaker’s weak points. This time, you will have thesupport of Minato’s crossbows, making it a bit faster. Keep attacking until the Earthbreaker reels, at which point you canuse a Flying Vine to travel to its back.
On the Earthbreaker’s back, you’ll need tobreak off four weak points. These only take a few hits to destroy, and you’ll belaunched off its back after you do so. When you’re back on solid ground, keep firing on the Kemono until yourCannon breaks, at which point the fight will enter its final phase.
Now, with no Cannon, you’ll need touse your regular weapon to finish the Earthbreaker. After using the Flying Vines to reach Nanohara Fields, you will engage the Earthbreaker up close.
In this section, the Earthbreaker willslam its arms on the ground. These attacks are slow but deal high damage, so be sure to get out of the way. After slamming its arm, the Earthbreaker willkeep it there for a few seconds, allowing you to attack it.After you’ve dealt enough damage to the arm, its rock armor will break off. Repeat this process for both arms, and the Earthbreaker will topple, exposing the weak point on its forehead.
Quickly attack this weak point. If you deal enough damage, you will be able tokill the Kemono in a single rotation. However, if you don’t damage it fast enough, the armor on the Earthbreaker’s hands will reformand you’ll have torepeat this processagain. Two rotations should be enough to finish off the Earthbreaker.
Earthbreaker - Drops And Materials
The Earthbreaker drops general materials that are used in avariety of weapons and armor, but doesn’t have an armor set of its own. Additionally, upon completing this quest, you will gain the ability tocraft and use the Hand Cannon, Claw Blade, and Karakuri Staff weapons. The Earthbreaker drops the following materials.
