The Pearlbeak is a subspecies of the Fumebeak inWild Hearts. The Pearlbeak is a white-cloaked raven that uses the power of water to wash away its enemies before divebombing them with its incredible speed, never letting up its assault.

The Pearlbeak is aWater attributeKemono that mainly uses elemental attacks to overwhelm you. As such, itcompletely negates Water and Wind attribute damage, buttakes the most damage from Earthweapons.Attacks to its head will deal the most damage, and Pummel weapon types have the highest damage output against the Pearlbeak.

All ailments work equally as wellagainst the Pearlbeak, at a three-star rating, meaning ailments aren’t necessarily good or bad.

Best Equipment To Fight Pearlbeak

Armor with high defense and Water resistanceis almost a necessity for this fight. The Pearlbeak will use some extremely high-damage attacks, so you’ll want to equip the best armor you’re able to craft. TheGreat Juniper set, crafted withMighty Kingtusk materials, is great for this fight due to its high defense and great supportive abilities likeHealth Boost, Strong Arm: Remedy, and Fusion Master.

The Pearlbeak is weakest to Earth attribute damage, so be sure to craft a weapon with this element.

The Pearlbeak will repeatedly fly into the air during this fight, so be sure to bring Karakuri that can fuse intoFireworksor theRepeater Crossbowto knock it out of the sky. These are made usingsix Torchesor aGlider, Stake, and Glidercombo, respectively. If you have the Fusion Master skill activated, these Karakuri will be even more effective.

Pearlbeak - Fight Breakdown And Moves

Several of the Pearlbeak’s attacks are similar to the Fumebeak, usingWater instead of Poison. Like the Fumebeak, the Pearlbeak will oftenraise its wings into the air or spread them wide before its larger attacks, so watch for these tells to let you know when to dodge.

One of the Pearlbeak’s most dangerous, yet most exploitable attacks, is itsdive. After jumping into the air, the Pearlbeak willquickly dive toward you, dealing damage along its path. This attack is fast and sometimes hard to avoid, but after, the Pearlbeak will need afew seconds to recover, making itimmobile. Use this opportunity to damage the Kemono safely.

Similar to the Fumebeak, the Pearlbeak willraise both of its wings before quickly jumping toward you, dealing high damage. If this attack connects, you will bepinned in placewhile the Pearlbeak relentlessly attacks you. However, if you are able to dodge this attack, the Pearlbeak willcrash to the groundand bevulnerable to attacksfor a few seconds.

Another attack that is similar to the Fumebeak is itsspinning whirlwind. While in the air, the Pearlbeak willraise one of its wings, thenspin around in a circle severaltimes, dealing high damage as itmoves slowly towardyou. Use aSpring or Glider Karakurito get far away from the Kemono, but remain close enough totake advantage of therecovery periodafter the Pearlbeak finishes this attack.

Unique to the Pearlbeak is itsflash ability. Closing its wings around itself, the Pearlbeak willflash the area, stunning you if you aren’t dodging or have an object between you and the Kemono. You can break out of this stun like normal by rapidly pressing every button, but attempt to avoid it bydodging at the right timeor conjuring aBulwark Fusion Karakuri to hide behind.

The Pearlbeak has several water-based attacks to be mindful of. First is its stomp that creates asmall whirlpool near your feet. This attack doesn’t deal the most damage, but the Pearlbeak will often use itbefore or after higher-damage moves.

If the Pearlbeakquickly flies into the air and then swoopsdown, get ready for alarge whirlpoolto be created in front of it. This attack deals high damage and will knock you back a fair distance, butleaves the Kemono open for a few seconds afterward, which you can use to deal some damage.

After the Pearlbeak has taken enough damage, it will enter itsenraged state. The Pearlbeak’swings will glow red, several of its attacks will be empowered, and it will now frequently fly into the air to use additional attacks. As the Pearlbeak enrages, it willengulf the area around itself with a massive water bubble, causing it to explode for heavy damage. Get clear of the area as the Pearlbeak prepares this attack.

The main move to watch out for when the Pearlbeak is enraged is itsdive. Now, this attack can be usedmultiple times in a row.There is still along recovery window after the final dive, but repeated uses can be moredifficult to dodge. Watch carefully for when the Pearlbeak prepares this attack, and get ready to dodge.

While enraged, the Pearlbeak may alsospin around in a circle, creatingseveral water tornadoesthattravel outward from its body, dealing damage as they move. These tornadoes will only be created to the front and sides of the Kemono, meaning theback of the beast is safe. Position yourself behind the Pearlbeak then move in to deal damage after it stops spinning.
