As you battle your way through hordes of demons inMarvel’s Midnight Suns, you’ll get a chance to form friendships with your super-powered teammates between missions. Each hero on the roster will have a friendship level you’re able to raise by spending more time with them. When you reach friendship level 5 with Magik, her Challenge Mission, Demon Child, will be unlocked.

While doing Challenge Missions in Midnight Suns is optional, completing them will reward you with legendary skins and abilities. Magik’s legendary ability, Darkchylde, is an extremely powerful tool that can grant your team extra time to recuperate and prepare for the next turn.
How To Unlock The Demon Child Challenge Mission
You’ll need toupgrade the Forgewith theForged in Hellfire research projectbefore taking on Challenge Missions. This level four project becomes available after youcomplete four missions with Ghost Rider. The Forged in Hellfire project takesone dayto complete, and you’ll be able toconstruct the Armory for 175 Creditsafter that. Once built, Challenge Missions will become available at the Forge with Hunter’s already unlocked.
After upgrading, you can unlock each Challenge Mission. Most heroes require you toreach friendship level fivewith them,and that’s exactly the case with Magik. There are various ways to gain friendship points as you play, but the fastest method is usually tojoin your friend in a Hangout.
How To Clear The Demon Child Challenge
Your objective for this mission is toobtain the Darkchylde card and survive the enemy turn. This means that you only need to defeat theIncarnation of Memorystanding in the middle of the pack of enemies at the start of the challenge. It’ll be easy to keep track of this enemy since it isthe only one carrying Darkchylde.
During this Challenge Mission, you will haveunlimited card movesbutRedraw and Move will be restricted. With these conditions, you’ll notice that Challenge Missions feel more like puzzles to be solved rather than actual missions.

Demon Child Rewards
After clearing Magik’s Hero Challenge, you will be rewarded with herlegendary Midnight Suns skinand theDarkchylde heroic card. Using Darkchylde willtaunt all enemieson the battlefield and make Magikinvulnerable for one turnat the cost offour heroics. Darkchylde also has theExhausttrait, meaning it can only be activated once per battle since it will be discarded after use.
