Preparation
To win the fight, you must prepare your party to succeed. First, you should aim to have your characters atlevel 50 or higher. The higher stats will help, but the fight will still be challenging, so if you struggle with it, aim for an even higher level to make it significantly easier.

As you prepare for the battle, you must plan whichclasses and pactsyou want to be assigned to your party, so try this setup if you need some help.
Witch Squad
Peer Fortress and Aster Crow
Your Witch Squad Pact will act as yourtank. You have theVanguard and Rearguard Healabilities to heal anyone, and you can also utilizeGatekeeper’s Proofon the Peer Fortress to draw moreaggro.
Nachiroux’s Pact
Theatrical Star and Famyu Seeker
You won’t use the Secret Crest, but it hassolid support abilitiesto help the party. You can useCoven Healto quickly assist a Pact low on health,Rapid Boostto make your party act first, andBattle Cheer Danceto empower the Black Paper Pact.
Black Paper
Wonder Corsair, Shinomashira, and Gothic Coppelia
You’ll use them as yourprimary damage dealers.Heart of Wisdomcan keep them alive while they attack the boss. Their Secret Crest can also deal solid damage, though you’ll need the Witch Squad to draw aggro for it to work.
Disease
Magia Maid
You want this Pact to focus ondamage. First, theSupport II Secret Crestcan make a big difference. It’ll let yourevive and heal teammates.Lamp Fog IIdoes good damage, andHardeningcan be used on the Vanguard.
Gossip
Aster Crow, Shinomashira, and Theatrical Star or Famyu Seeker
This pact offers plenty ofhealing and supportto the party. Although you won’t use the Secret Crest, the other Donums make it a solid choice. For example,Block Physicalcan keep people alive, whileDelicious Gossipcan keep the party alive.
Feel free to adjust these pacts based on your preferences and play styles, though this setup works as abalanced choiceto get through the fight.
Prepare Your Equipment
Your equipment will make a considerable difference in this fight. you’re able to get better equipment by finding itin the dungeon or using alchemyto strengthen it.
You can keep things simple by selectingOptimize Equipmentfor all your party members to equip the best items available quickly. From there, you can use the leftover items to strengthen your current equipment. For example, you should addattack and damage buffsto your damage dealers while focusing on the defense of yourtanks and supports.
Dealing With The Stun Meter
When you fought with other bosses in this game, you’ll notice thestun meter dropsand eventually prevents the enemy from attacking. Doing so benefits your team in multiple ways.
However, the Meat Soldier has significantlyhigh stun resistance, meaning you won’t be able to stop it from attacking. With that in mind, youshouldn’t rely on stunning movesbut focus on damage and lowering its defenses instead.

The Fight
Once you start the fight, you’ll want to follow some tips to make it easier.
The First Turn
Since you can expect the first turn to always play out the same way, you shouldtry the following movesto set yourself up nicely for the battle.
UseGatekeeper’s Fortress.
You’ll set the pact todraw aggro, lowering the odds of your other members taking damage. Since theboss deals physical damage, your Peer Fortress and Aster Crow work well.
UseRapid Boost or Battle Cheer.
Go withRapid Boostif you have aslower party. However, if you tend to act first, you should useBattle Cheerto strengthen your characters.
UseHeart of Wisdom.
By boosting your defense, you’llprepare your Vanguardto survive the Meat Soldier’s attacks.
Defend.
This pact doesn’t have the best defense, so you’ll want to help them survive through the first turn before the Witch Squad can activate their aggro.
Priorities In The Next Turns
As the fight continues, you’ll want to keep thefollowing moves in mindand prioritize them accordingly.
ActivateGatekeeper’s Proofto draw the aggro.
Attack the enemy.
Heal your teammatesas needed, but use your other pacts for healing when possible.
Use Rapid Boost or Battle Cheer Dance to buff the Vanguard.
ActivateBlock Physicalas needed.
Heal your teammates.
Defend if you don’t have any buffing or healing to do, so they’ll stay alive.
Utilize Your Reinforce As Needed
As you play through the different turns, you’ll want to use yourReinforce Abilitiesin the following situations.
When To Use It
Offense
Boost your character’s attack powerright before they unleash a powerful attack. You should save it for theBlack Paper pact.
Defense
Use it on party members withlow health. Doing so can help them barely survive the next attack before they get healed.
Tactics or Haste
Tactics show you the turn order, whilehastemakes all your charactersact faster. You can only use one, so go withTacticsif you want to plan your attacks, but chooseHasteif your characters tend to act after the Meat Soldier.
Special Orders
Use this if you want to use items on your party members. You canbuff them or heal peopleto keep them alive during the fight.
You only have so much Reinforce to use based on your pacts. Ensure you track them during the fight toavoid wasting them all.
