This guide will help distinguish what different types of magic mean, how to navigate through character building, and what genres of magic are compatible while others are not.

The Five Types Of Magic

After selecting “New Game”, you canchoose your character. There is some strategyin thisdepending on which characters you don’t mind facing later on, and understanding thefive types of magicwill help determine whichprotagonistto go with. Think of anything that has to do withfirefrommeteor showersto making cities completelyexplode. This type of magic isbest used in the later game, which is why it can be so deadly. Oftentimes, chaos magic ishard to go up against. One of the strategies a beginner can use is picking a protagonist whospecializesin chaos. Nature Magic

Sorcery Magic

Sorceryis the fifth and final type of magic to choose from. This type of magic is morepsychological. It canconfuse enemiesand even createillusionsto protect your soldiers. If an enemy wizard casts a spell on the city,sorcerers can dispel it.Counter magicis the best for sorcerers, placing this category in the moredefensive, but it can certainly help in the quest to conquer the world.

Mixing And Matching Spell Books

After choosing which protagonist to be the face of the conquest, it is time to choosespell books. You canpick your books and a spell for each based on the table in the section above. If there is a spell that catches your eye, but you lack room in your library, don’t fret! There is a chanceyou will be able to talk to a wizard later in the game and research it, or trade spells. If you feel a little more daring, the table does not have to be followed.Feel free to mix and match the different types of spells no matter who you play as. The only ones that can not go together arelifeanddeath. Sadly, one must be tossed aside if the other is desired. However, the three others arecompatiblewith each other. In the beginning, consider balance spells that willprotectthe main cityand those that will helpexpandoutward.

Starting Race
