Raisin Ruins is the second world inKirby’s Return To Dream Land Deluxe, and the first stage introduces yet more new enemies and Copy Abilities, including the brand-new Sand Copy Ability, which wasn’t seen in the original version of the game.

Throughout the stage, you’ll also need to be fast and use Kirby’s agility to avoid obstacles, including falling rocks, as if Kirby were in an Indiana Jones movie. At the end of this stage, there’s a miniboss fight, so you’ll want to stay on your toes to beat this powerful enemy.

First Section

When you first enter this stage, you’ll see an enemy ahead of you — swallow it, and you’ll gainthe Whip Copy Ability. Kirby can use the whip to hit enemies and even latch onto them to throw them.

Continue through the stage, using your new whip to take on enemies in your way. You’ll come to an area with two platforms and an enemy between them. It periodically floats up with its mouth wide open, sowatch it doesn’t snap you into its jaws. Keep going, and you’ll see another of these enemies that you’ll need to jump over again.

Going further, you’ll see four of these enemies in a row, ready to strike from above.Run past them, and you should be fine.

Beneath the last enemy,you can go down one level to obtain a stamp ticket. Use your whip to grab it. There’s a hot dog on the other side too.

The star door is just a few more paces ahead.

Second Section

Here, you’ll see enemies attached to hovering rocks. Avoid or kill these as you pass.Be careful of the pigs that run towards youas you continue, and grab the stars on the platforms above.

More pigs will run towards you, sohop down into the ditch ahead, where you’ll also find more stars. Hop out and continue.

There’s a rope here that leads to a cannon. If you want to grab an Energy Sphere,drop your current Copy Ability and swallow the enemyattached to the rock at the beginning of the rope to gain the Fire Copy Ability.

Set the beginning of the rope on fireand jump inside the cannon before it blows. You’ll be sent to a new area, wherean Energy Sphere is up ahead. Go back through the door you came to continue with the stage.

Kirby Sees Star To Unlock Blocks Raisin Ruins Stage One

Going up the hill, you’ll see a big block in front of a small passageway. To go in here,drop your Copy Ability and swallow it. Remove the blocks in the passage, and you’ll get the Needle Copy Ability. Above you, there’s alsoa stamp ticket and some food.

Head back out the way you came, and then the star door to the next section is just ahead.

Third Section

Kill the one-eyed enemy ahead of you and continue down the path. When you destroy the bomb block to clear the path ahead, the blocks holding up a rock behind you will also disappear, so get ready tooutrun the rolling rock.

Kill a few enemies on your way, and the rock soon breaks after hitting a wall.

Kirby Sees Lollipop Ahead

When you come across a star and interact with it,another rock will come loose and roll down. This time, you may wait for it to roll first, destroying all the enemies and blocks in the way for you. Where it breaks, you can drop down to receive a piece of meat and restore some HP.

Going further, there’s yet another star to interact with. A third rock will come loose, and you can wait for it to go ahead again.

Watch out when you’re following it here —there’s another rock close by, and when the first rock breaks through the blocks, it will destroy the blocks holding it up.If you’re following close behind, the rock could land directly on you.

Wait until both rocks pass, and follow them down the hill. At the end, you’ll see the star door,as well as an Energy Sphere.

Fourth Section

When you arrive in this section, be wary as you head up the slope, asa rock will come down and squish youif you’re not careful. Continue until you see a ladder and a platform with three stars —head up here to avoid the three rocksabout to roll down the hill towards you.

Once the rocks have gone, go up the hill.A huge rock will appear— drop down below the ground,where the red star is, to avoid it. Just up ahead, you’ll see the star door.

Fifth Section

Grab the glowing lollipop ahead andyou’ll become invincible for a short time. Plow through the enemies until your invincibility runs out — this will be around when you reach the star door.

Drop down the two levels, grabbing the meat and milk bottle and destroying the enemies on the way.

Sixth Section

A Waddle Dee holding an umbrella will slowly drop down ahead of you. Destroy it andgrab your own umbrella on the platform ahead. Kirby can use the umbrella to attack and float. Reach the top of the platforms, then float down the next set of platforms, grabbing the stars on the way.

When you land in the next area, there’s a knight enemy waiting, so quickly defeat it to pass. Further along, you’ll have the choice oftwo Copy Abilities: Sand or Whip. Choose your preference and destroy the blocks.

Bonkers Boss Fight

You’ll enter a boss arena and be greeted byBonkers, the boss of this level. He hasa hammer that he’ll try to smack Kirby with. If he hits you, you’ll drop your Copy Ability, so make sure to pick it up again if this happens.

He jumps around quite a lot, so you’ll need to remain agile to avoid his hammer and get hits in at the same time. Once he’s down, you’ll need tokeep hitting him to receive the Hammer Copy Ability.

Use this to destroy all the remaining blocks and enemies in your path to the final star door. Don’t forget topick up the Energy Sphere that you’ll see on the way.
