The hoverbike inSableis probably the game’s coolest feature as you glide across the world’s endless dunes. The hoverbike will speedily take you across the map - and make you look cool doing so - but it’s also crucial in completing’An Ancient Race’questline. As you travel through the world of Midden, you might come across large rings coming out of the ground.

These rings will light up as you pass through them with your hoverbike and reward you with Hicaric Ring Artefacts in every region. But this questline can be a bit vague, as it doesn’t tell you what to do with the Hicaric Rings. This guide covers the Hicaric Ring Artefact locations and what to do with them.
What To Do With The Hicaric Ring Artefacts
Once you’ve obtained allsix Hicaric Ring Artefacts, you need to take them to theMysterious Shrinein the centre of the map. This shrine will behidden by the Badland’s canyon, so it can be difficult to spot from certain angles.
Approach the shrine from the East side to avoid any climbing.
Bring the Rings inside the shrine. You’ll meet a machinist called Fir here.Place all six rings on the six alters inside.
After doing this, you’ll need to wait a few in-game days for Fir to prepare your reward. After waiting a couple of days, return for your rewards:Hicaric Ring Front, Hicaric Ring Booster, and Hicaric Ring Wings.
Race / Hicaric Ring Locations
Each region will have its own series of rings to race through. If you see a locked, red building - like the one pictured above - there’ll be a race nearby.
Passing through each successive ring will make them light up, and once they’re all lit, the building will emerge and unlock, giving you aHicaric Ring Artefact.
It should be noted that you only have alimited amount of timeto race through all rings once you begin.
An invisible timer will start when you activate the first ring, so you need to be quick when completing these races. If you’re struggling with a certain race,leave a marker on the map and come back when you have a faster hoverbike.
Sansee Hicaric Ring Location
The race in Sansee isright next to the abandoned ship, The Dunboyne.
The race in The Wash region isdirectly North ofThe Watch.
The Badlands Hicaric Ring Location
The race in The Badlands Region is just under the central clearing. If youfast-travel to the Badland’s Cartographer Balloon and head South, you’ll spot the rings.
Hakoa Hicaric Ring Location
The race in Hakoa is located between the region’sabandoned ship and Cartographer’s Balloon.
Redsee Hicaric Ring
The race in the Redsee region is locatedSouth of the region’s main city.
Sodic Waste Hicaric Ring Location
The race in the Sodic Waste is located in theSouthern parts of the region.Past the Cartographer’s Balloon and any signs of life.
Once you’ve collected all six rings, scatter like the Nazgul, andreturn to the Mysterious Shrine for your reward.
