At the moment,Disney Dreamlight Valleyis currently in Early Access, which means that only gamers that buy a Founder’s Pack or have Game Pass can play it. Sometime in 2023, it’ll eventually leave Early Access and become free-to-play. Just like many free-to-play games, Disney Dreamlight Valley is going to have an in-game currency and season passes, called Star Paths.

There is a lot of content that can only be unlocked if you agree to exchange Moonstones for it, so you might have to resort to other methods to get them. Thankfully, the Disney Dreamlight Valley developers realized this and added a way for every fan to get access to more Moonstones without having to pay real money for them.

How To Acquire Moonstones
At some point, while playing Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll want to get yourself some Moonstones. They have a couple of different uses, all of them related to theStar Path. As time goes by, there will be various Star Paths, and the premium version of the Star Path can be obtained with Moonstones.
Moonstones can also be used to buy tokens which is another type of currency. Tokens can be acquired by completing Star Path duties or exchanged for Moonstones.You can trade 100 Moonstones for ten tokens, but you can’t trade extra tokens for Moonstones, it only works one way.
There are a few different ways to get Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley, some of them cost real-life money and some are completely free. Here’s how you can get them:
Purchase A Founder’s Pack
you’re able to purchase Founder’s Packs to support the developers of the game.There are three Founder’s Pack, and the more exclusive the pack, the more limited-time content the player will gain access to.Here are the three levels of Founder’s Packs and how many Moonstones each of them will give to those who purchase it:

Purchase Moonstone Pack
It is now possible to purchase Moonstone packs.This is a way to purchase Moonstones with real-life money. You can get them as many times as you want or choose a pack according to the amount of Moonstones you’d like to acquire. Here is each pack and how many Moonstones they contain:
Big Moonstone Pack
5,500 Moonstones
Moonstone packs aren’t bought in-game, so, depending on the platform you use to play Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll have to visit the platform’s official store and purchase it separately.
Moonstone Chests
Moonstone Chests can spawn in the Valley daily, however, they will spawn in random places and they only contain10 Moonstones inside. This isn’t a viable way to earn a large amount of Moonstones but it’s a nice extra to earn daily and after a few days it’ll start to add up and make some difference.
Completing The Star Path
You can complete the standard Star Path or the premium Star Path. If you use Moonstones to unlock the premium Star Path, you’ll be able to unlock even more rewards and Moonstones.Unfortunately, even with the premium Star Path, the amount of Moonstones that you can unlock isn’t enough to cover the costs of purchasing the Star Path itself.
DreamSnaps Contests
The DreamSnaps update was released in July 2023, and it added what is arguably the best way to earn Moonstones for free. With the DreamSnaps feature, you can participate in photography contests, whichguarantee 350 weekly Moonstones.
You can get 300 Moonstones by participating in the current DreamSnaps challenge, as well as 50 Moonstones for voting for your favorite entries in the previous challenge. On top of this, the five players with the best placement will receive over 5,500 Moonstones - although, given the size of the community, this is definitely a more difficult feat, but not impossible.
