ThroughoutThe Witcher 3,Geralt has to track down all manner of people and monsters. From his adopted daughter, Ciri, to dangerous monsters. His enhanced senses and carefully honed skills have given him a reputation for being able to find the lost and hidden. Geralt’s talents are put to the test in Velen when he is sent to find Princess, a goat.

As insulting and trivial as the request may be, Geralt has no choice but to help the Pellar find Princess. Unfortunately, the goat will be making this job far more difficult than it has any right to be.

Beginning A Princess In Distress

This hunt begins midway through the main questFamily Matters.Geralt needs the Pellar’s help in finding the Bloody Baron’s wife. The Pellar is difficult to work with, though he makes it clear that nothing will be done until Princess is returned.

The goat had fled the hut after a band of thugs attempted to break in and is somewherein the wolf-infested woods,highlighted in the quest marker. The Pellar gives Geralt a bell toget Princess to follow.

Finding Princess

Princess is in thewestern partof the search area. You can find her byusing Witcher Sensesto listen for her bleating and tohighlight her tracks.

You will cross paths witha pack of wolvesduring the search. Make sure todefeat thembefore moving on.

Geralt fights a bear in the middle of the woods, sidestepping away from its charge.

ApplyBeast Oil,if you have it. It will make the rest of the questmuch easier.

Once you find herring the bell,equipped in your gadget slot, to get her to follow you. She behaves like an easily-distracted child,forcing you to ring the bell multiple timesto keep her on your trail.

Dealing With The Bear

Princess' wanderlust will draw her toa bear’s den.You will have tokill the beastto ensure her safety.

The bear attacks withslow swipesand the occasionallungethroughout the fight. Watch it carefully androll awayif it gets on its hind legs. It willslam the ground,sending Geralt flying if the witcher is within range.

It is best to fight cautiously. Bears haveample healthandhit hard.Make sure that Quen is up and try tododge to its sides.

With the bear defeated, Geralt will be able tolead Princess home,satisfying the Pellar and learning more about the Baron’s family life. Completing this quest will allow you to continueFamily Matters.
