Games in the MOBA genre tend to release updates to add characters, balance the game, and fix bugs. Tips
Passive: Relentless Assault
Jax benefits from additionalattack speedeach time he performs an auto-attack, increasing up to eight times. The attack speed you receive increases with level, and thestacks disappearif you don’t attack within 2.5 seconds.
Jax synergizes well with attack speed, so you’ll want builds focused on striking the enemy as much as possible to maximize your damage.
Q: Leap Strike
Jax can hop to ateammate, ward, or enemy. He’ll deal physical damage to any enemy he hits, scaling off 100 percent AD.
you’re able to use your Q toescape and initiate. For example, you can place a ward over a wall and leap to it for a surprise gank or a quick escape. You can also save it during fights to stick on your opponents if they try to run away.
W: Empower
Jax adds magic damage to his next auto-attack, scaling with 60 percent AP.
W helps you to get mixed damage into your attacks, making ithard for enemies to itemize against you. You can use it before a Q jump or as an auto-attack reset to deal more damage.
E: Counter Strike
Jax spins his staff above his head,dodging all auto-attackswhile lowering the damage taken from AoE moves. Once Jax reactivates the move, he’llstun any enemies nearby, dealing magic damage, and scaling with 100 percent AP.
You’ll primarily use E tostun your enemiesafter you jump on them, setting you up for auto-attacks and your Ultimate. You can use it defensively if a ranged unit tries to attack you while you run away.
R: Grandmaster-At-Arms
Passive: Jax applies additional magic damage for every third auto-attack.Active: Jax hits enemies around him, dealing magic damage and scaling with 100 percent AP. He alsogains armor and magic resistscaling with his AD and the number of enemies he hits. His Ultimate passive activates every two auto-attacks, and this active effect lasts for eight seconds.
Save your Ultimate for an all-in. You’ll want to use it if you plan to kill the enemy or help in a team fight. The more people in your ult, the better since yougain more defensive stats.
You should try this skill order for Jax:
E>W>Q>W>W>R>W>E>W>E>R>E>E>Q>Q>R>Q>Q.
Since Jax focuses his damage on auto-attacks, you want to use W as much as possible to mix magic damage into your physical attacks. You can also max E before W against a team that relies on auto-attacks.
Always take it,since you can use it offensively and defensively.
Teleport
Take it if you plan to go top lane andplay it safeduring the early game.
Ignite
You should choose it if you plan toplay aggressivelyin your lane.
Only take it if youplan to jungle.
How To Play Jax
Early Game
Usually, Jax struggles early game since he needs items to perform well. However, you’re able to play aggressively if you lane against someone who doesn’t have too many options early. Generally, you want tofocus on last-hitting minionswhile securing kills with your jungler when possible.
Avoid dying since it’ll put you behind and at a severe disadvantage against your opponent. However, you may play more aggressivelyif yousecure a kill early.
Generally, you’ll want tohold off on going all-in until you reach level threesince you’ll have all your basic abilities to chase and make the most out of your passive.
Mid-Game
Once you buy a Mythic and core item, most champions will struggle to fight you one-on-one unless they’re ahead. You can use your advantage toforce the enemy out of the lane, push up to the tower, andsplit-push.
While you shouldlook for chances to teleportto your team and help with fights, Jax helps by putting pressure on the top lane andsecuring as much gold as possiblethrough turrets. Every time you destroy one, your team gets gold, helping them become stronger. As you split-push,ward the areato avoid ganks.
Late Game
You’ll want tosplit-pushwhile helping your teammates with objectives. Keep an eye on your team and look for opportunities to join them. If the enemy plays defensively, you may push another lane.If the enemy plans to contest an objective, like Dragon or Baron, you should join them by running there before it happens or using your Teleport.
Your team winning depends on youfinding opportunities to attack squishy targets. Watch for the mage or ADC to move out of position, jump to them, and activate your stun to initiate a battle. If you can get your team to follow up, you can deal great damage and turn a fight around.

Situational Items
Jax works best as atop-lane fightersince he can split-push with his auto-attacks while winning one-on-one fights once he has items. As for hisjungle build, you have solid ganks thanks to his Q and E combo. However, it has a high-risk, high-reward approach since you’ll struggle without items, but you’ll crush the enemy if you get ahead.
Thanks to his hybrid scaling, Jax can try various builds. For example, you can go with a completeon-hit build, anassassin mage build, or even atank build. Feel free to experiment and try various combinations to see what works for you.
