Rescue-ACE is a unique addition to the game; the archetype requires you to respond to your opponent’s monsters. Rescue-ACE also has a powerful boss monster that is surprisingly easy to summon to the field and has an awesome Special Effect to counter any situation you may face.

Special Effect

Rescue-ACE Turbulence

You can set up to four Rescue-ACE Spell and Traps from your Deck.If another card you control leaves the field by a card effect You can destroy one card on the field

Rescue-ACE Hydrant

you’re able to activate a Spell, or Trap Card, that was set by the effect of your “Rescue-ACE” card, the turn it was Set.

Rescue-ACE Fire Engine

If a monster is Special Summoned to your opponent’s field, you canSpecial Summon a “Rescue-ACE” monster from your hand, Deck, or GY.

Rescue-ACE Air Lifter

When this card is Summoned, you can add one Rescue-ACE Spell from your Deck to the hand. When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field, You can Tribute this card from your hand or field; Special Summon one “Rescue-ACE” monster from your hand.

Rescue-ACE Fire Attacker

When a Rescue-ACE monster is Summoned to your field, you may Special Summon this card from your hand.If a card is added to your opponent’s hand, except by drawing it, you can draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card.

Rescue-ACE Turbulence is the powerful boss monster of the archetype. Turbulence is an Effect Monster with a straightforward condition to bring out to the field, just banishing two Rescue-ACE monsters from the graveyard. That requirement can be met in the first turn of games if you have the cards you need in your hand.

YuGiOh! Rescue-ACE Fire Engine

You can also Special Summon Turbulence with the use of the Rescue-ACE monster’s Special Effects due to the card not having strict summon requirements.

Once Rescue-ACE Turbulence is on the field, the power of the archetype begins to shine.Turbulence allows you to set the four Spell and Trap Cards that make the mainstay of the archetype: Rescue!, Alert!, Contain!, Extinguish!.

YuGiOh! Rescue-ACE Hydrant

The combinations of these cards and Turbulence’s ability to grab them from the deck is where this archetype getsits power to control and react to whatever your opponent summons to the field.

Rescue!

Select one Rescue-ACE monster in your GY, if you control Rescue-ACE Hydrant, you can target one monster in your opponent’s GY instead; Special Summon it to your field.

Alert!

Add one Rescue-ACE monster from your GY to your hand, if you control Rescue-ACE Hydrant, you can add one Rescue-ACE monster from your Deck to your hand instead.

Contain!

Target one Effect Monster your opponent controls that Effect Monster cannot attack; also its effects are negated. If you control Rescue-ACE Hydrant, that monster also cannot be used as material for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summon this turn.

Extinguish!

Target one Effect Monster your opponent controls; destroy it, then, if you currently control Rescue-ACE Hydrant, your opponent cannot activate the effects of that destroyed monster, or of monsters with its same original name.

There are two types of monsters in the Rescue-ACE archetype, the warriors and the high-level machines. The monsters work together as a team, with the warriors typically having special effects to summon the high-level machines and the machines having the ability to Special Summon the weaker warriors.

YuGiOh! Rescue-ACE Extinguish!

The warriors' effects activate based on whatever move your opponent makes, while the machines can Special Summon the warriors when you Normal Summon or Special Summon a monster.

Other than the boss monster Rescue-ACE Turbulence, there is another crucial card to the firefighter-based archetype:Rescue-ACE Hydrant. This monster has a handful of abilities, but its most important one is to summon monsters from the deck, includingRescue-ACE Turbulence.

Another aspect of the card is that the Spell and Trap Cards,Rescue!, Alert!, Contain!, and Extinguish!, all received bonus effects when Hydrant is on the field. This is an essential monster to have on the field, and themonster cannot be destroyed by monsters or card effects when you have another Rescue-ACE monster on the field.

The Rescue-ACE Strategy

The strategy of Rescue-ACE is simple; you want your side of the board to be as filled as possible. The idea is to lock down your opponent and counter their game plan. The more different types of Rescue-ACE Monsters, Spell, and Trap Cards you have on the field, the greater your chance of success.

The strongest monster in the archetype has only 3,000 ATK Power, which is strong, but there are stronger monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! You will need to have your board set up to remove the tougher monster you may encounter.

The Rescue-ACE archetype is new to the game and requires support from other archetypes to cover its weaknesses. Despite the archetype’s impressive abilities to lock down your opponent’s game plans,Rescue-ACE has little in the way of dealing with your opponent’s spell and trap cards. When constructing a deck, you should first focus on finding ways to mitigate this weakness and then try to discover another archetype for extra support.

Rescue-ACE requires the proper set-up to successfully counter your opponent with Turbulence, Hydrant, and the Field Spell Card, Rescue-ACE Headquarters. The Headquarters' ability to recycle the four key Rescue-ACE Spell and Trap Cards allows you to keep your opponent in check constantly, and Turbulence can protect one of those cards on the field once per turn.In most situations, protecting Contain!, and Extinguish is the most important, as the two cards can shut down your opponent’s plays.
