There are several variations of the Rotation Puzzles you come across as you play. They visually change based on where the puzzle is located. Its complexity and look are determined by if it’s part of an electrical cabinet, a vinyl player, several valves, and so on. Despite the visual changes, the basic premise of how to solve each puzzle remains the same from puzzle to puzzle.
How To Solve Rotational Puzzles In Biomutant
The first rotational puzzle you’ll find is extremely close to the start of the game. It serves as a basic introduction, with subsequent puzzles becoming a touch more challenging as you progress. With that in mind, the gamenever changes how you should approach solving these puzzles, sticking to thesame basic principle.
In the most basic terms,Rotational Puzzles consist of rotating certain objects, which are usually marked by two colours. You mustform a line from the starting point, through the middle, and to the end of the line.To use the first puzzle as an example, which you might be able to see in the image above, you need toturn three nodes to align, thus solving the puzzle. With this puzzle, you’re trying to get a projector to work.
If you’re playing on a console, you can move between the nodes with the analogue stick and turn each one left or right. PressingL1 will turn the dial once to the left while pressing R1 will turn the dial once to the right.Doing so willuse up your number of allowed turns, which means you must solve the puzzle within the turn limit.
Pay attention to the colourssince they determine where you need to move the nodes to complete the puzzle. Usually, these will bedenoted by white and amber dots, or markings, in Rotational Puzzles.Again, looking at the first Rotational puzzle as an example, there is a vertical amber strip underneath the bottom dial, and the dial is currently set to the middle, with the amber colour on the right and the white on the left.
From this, you’re able to deduce that youneed to turn that first dial to the right to get those two amber strips to align, which will put the white end of the dial facing upwards. When it comes to the second dial, you can see that the amber end of the dial needs to be pointing to the amber strip above it.This means you must turn the second dial once to the right. For the third and final dial, you will have awhite-coloured strip to the left of it,indicating you need the white end of the dial to face towards it.Turn that dial once to the right, and this will line everything up and complete the puzzle.
Rotational Puzzle Variants
Let’s take a look at another Rotational Puzzle, but one that is visually different from the previous one. If you can see the image, you’ll notice how they re-use the same ideasby lining colours up and turning the dials the correct way.
This time, you may see where you need tomatch the colours by using the small horizontal lines to figure out the pattern. There is an amber light at the very bottom and a white strip at the top of the puzzle. If there is no indication as to what the middle dial is supposed to be set to, which is the case in this puzzle, simply match it up to the one beneath it and abovewhen set correctly.
The solution to this puzzle, which is the second one you come across, is as follows:
How To Increase Move Numbers In Biomutant
You might be wondering about thecounter you have indicating how many turns you have leftto complete the challenge. If you use your turns and fail to solve the puzzle,it will reset, and you can simply try again. This means you can get it wrong as many times as you like, andyou won’t be locked out of anything. This is the case for all puzzles in the game.
There is a way to increase the number of turns available since it is directly tiedto your Intelligence stat that you can choose to level up.As you progress, you might find that you don’t have enough turns for some puzzles, which means investing in Intellect will fix this problem.
