Your Alchemy Options
As you look into Alchemy, you’ll havethree optionsyou can work with to cover your needs.
Each Alchemy option requires you touse Mana or Silver. For instance, Synthesis and Remove Seal cost Mana to do, while Disassembly costs Silver to activate, though you get Mana out of it.
What you put into it lets yougain more than you would lose, making the exchange worth it. With that in mind, you’ll want to use Alchemy frequently to save money elsewhere.
Why You Should Use It
Synthesis
You cancombine itemsto strengthen your weapon or armor. You get to choose the item, three weaponsto boost it, andadd a catalystfor additional effects.
You canstrengthen any of your weapons and equipment. Since the game will throw tons of extra equipment at you, strengthening weapons will be easier than hoping you find them.
Disassembly
You can take apart items, equipment, and other collectibles toturn them into Mana. You’ll need to useDisassembly Fluid.
Alchemy usesMana. While you use this for Witch’s Petitions, you need to get more of it. If you don’t feel like going back into the dungeon, you may quicklyturn items into Manafor any assembly or unsealing you want to use.
Remove Seal
You canunseal a weaponto see its current strength.
Some unsealed weapons will be stronger than your current weapons. Otherwise, you can stilluse the weapons for assemblyto improve your weapons.
Tips And Tricks For Using Alchemy
Prioritize Mana Over Silver
You’ll use Silver for items, but you’re able to quickly build Silver byselling different items and loot. You’ll find yourself with a surplus of Silver after a while, especially if you farm for items in the dungeon.
If you want to prioritize Mana, ensure you focus on Silver early on. Doing so will help youcover your Alchemy needs, but if you ever run low on Silver, you can always sell loot to build it back up to help you with Alchemy. If you want to dismantle anything, you’ll need tospend 320 Silver per item, so you should aim fora surplus of 10,000or so Silver.
you’re able to exchange Silver for Mana, but not the other way around, so you’ll want to prioritize Mana once you build up savings.
Only Assemble If You Can Fill Every Slot
As you assemble weapons and improve them, you’ll havefive slotsto work with:
Since you’ll sacrifice three weapons and a catalyst to create it, you shouldonly perform Synthesis if you canfill all the slots. Otherwise, you’ll waste resources and time, and not make your weapons and armor as powerful as possible. Also, some weapons can’t be used, so double-check that information before you try.
You alsodon’t need to use the same weapon typewhile you perform Alchemy. For instance, if you plan to empower a sword, you don’t need to use three swords to make it stronger.
you’re able to use the table on the side to see how the combinations will impact your weapon. That way, you’ll learn what works best, and cantry different alchemy combinationsto see what’ll give you the most significant boost.
Only Disassemble Expensive Items
You can disassemble most weapons and items to turn them into Mana. Some will only give you ten or so Mana, while others will give you more, sometimes into the thousands of Mana. While it may sound appealing to disassemble items, loot, or weapons if you run low on Mana, you must remain careful with what you disassemble.
To put this into perspective, you may get ten Mana by disassembling them, but any time you want to disassemble something, you mustspend 320 Silver per item. That meansthe more Mana you get from a weapon, the more value you’re getting.
you’re able to get hundreds of Mana fromMana points in the dungeons, making such exchanges not worth it.
With that in mind, you shouldonly exchange items of at least 300 Manaif you decide to disassemble them. However, you may do a few less-expensive items in a pinch, such as when you barely have enough Mana to complete an action but don’t want to return to the dungeon.
Unseal Everything
As you play through the game, you’ll come acrosssealed weapons. You can immediately equip them to someone, but doing so will weaken the weapon. Instead, you shouldperform Remove Sealon the weapon to find out what it offers. Doing so will not only show you the weapon’s stats, but let you benefit from the original stats for it.
Even if you don’t use the weapon, you still want to unseal it. That way, you get the most out of it if you Synthesize it into another weapon or try to sell it.Selling a sealed weapon won’t give you as much value as an unsealed one. With that in mind, the Mana you use makes the additional value worth it.
