While Disney Dreamlight Valley often stirs happy memories by tapping into our sense of nostalgia, this most recent update doesn’t delve too far into Disney history. From 2021’s Encanto, Mirabel comes to the valley bringing colour, warmth, and a fresh set of rewards.

It’s time to welcome a new friend, and as with so many others who have arrived in the valley, you’ll need to utilise your skills and a little bit of magic. Conjuring happiness through rebuilding the memories of the valley villagers is the way forward. All it takes is a little time and a sprinkling of dreamlight.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently in early access, so information in this piece is subject to change as the game developers release more content.
How To Unlock Mirabel
In order for Mirabel to even appear in the valley, you must start out byfinding the doorknobto her house. The doorknob can be found in thePeaceful Meadow, it glints golden and doesn’t need to be dug up. Once you’ve collected the doorknob, you’ll be guided totalk to Merlinwho will recommend that youcomplete some ‘friendly’ tasksaround the valley.
The tasks are super easy, and likely are part of your everyday actions:
Once you have completed this list,return to Merlin. At this point, Merlin will ask you for500 Dreamlightand tell you tobuild the Mini-Casita. Unlike other character quests you will not need to pay star coins to build the house, Mini-Casita. You simply need tofind a plot of land big enough, and you need a large area as her house is the biggest, so far. As soon as you’ve placed the house, Mirabel will appear at the wishing well.
How To Unlock More Of Mirabel’s Quests
It’s time tostart building your friendship with Mirabel. Much like every other character you’ve introduced to the valley, you will need to level up their friendship by forming a closer bond. This can be achieved bychattingwith them, giving them theirfavourite gifts- which change daily - orcompleting taskswhile they accompany you.
One of the fastest ways to do this is to give Mirabel a role and fulfill that role. The fastest route to level up through roles isvia gardeningby planting crops, watering, and harvesting them. If you stick to early crops, like lettuce or sugarcane, you can speed through the levels easily.
Mirabel’s Friendship Rewards And Final Quest
All Disney Dreamlight Valley villagers will arrive with aset of queststo complete and a bunch of rewards to earn alongside. Mirabel’s quests start out asking you to helpdecorate Mini-Casitabefore requesting youdecorate your houseto make it feel more homely. Her quest path moves throughcooking her Mom’s favourite recipe, beforediffusing an argumentbetween Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck.

A Festival Of Friendship
Now you’ve raised your friendship level to ten, it’s time to start on thefinal Mirabel quest. Mirabel will approach you with a piece oftattered cloth, asking for you to examine it. After using the item from your inventory, it’s discovered to be a scrap of atablecloth. This reminds Mirabel of a time before the forgetting, when she used to haveparties with Moana, Anna, and Elsa. The friends would gather around the ‘Madrigal Table’ to feast and have fun on the beach.
Your first step is tofind four broken pieces of the table, as the table was destroyed when the forgetting arrived. These are found on the beach, with two pieces needing to be dug up with your shovel. Once collected, you’ll need totake the wooden pieces to Anna, who will ask Kristoff to help her rebuild the table;the scrap of tablecloth needs to go to Moana, who will use a sail to make a new tablecloth. Both Moana and Anna will tell you it’ll take time to put everything together
Now it’s your turn. Your task is to bring food for the Festival of Friendship -Bunuelos, Large Seafood Platter, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. It’s time to wait for a while until everything is ready for the festival. After aday in real-time, you will be prompted to take the food to Anna, who has completed the table and chairs. You’ll now need to take everything to Mirabel who asks you toplace the table outside Mini-Casita.
Once the table is placed, take a photo of everyone gathered around and the quest is finished. Yourfinal rewardswill be the table and chairs, as well as someEncanto-themed clothing.
