Inscryptionis a game absolutely full of secrets and surprises. Hidden under the surface and behind each card is a mystery waiting to be revealed. But between well-hidden information and complete random chance, finding them all may prove difficult.
While some of these secrets are necessary for completing the Act, trying to catch everything your first time around will be nearly impossible. But with a little guidance, you can make the absolute most of your time in Act One. From story-driven benefits tosilly little Easter eggs, here are all of the secrets within Leshy’s Cabin.

In anticipation of anyone experiencing the game’s mystery for the first time, we’ve revisited this guide and updated it to keep up with any in-game changes. A second coat of grammatical and formatting polish never hurt, either. Good luck in the cabin!
How To Solve The Painting Puzzle
The painting is one of the most straightforward secrets that’s still considered a puzzle. Even so, it will bethe hardest one to achieve. Solve the painting byhaving your game board match what you seein the painting. Once completed,it will change during your next runfor a total of three paintings.
Youdon’t need the board to be exactly like the painting; you only need the specific cards in those exact spots.
The puzzles willchange with every runand successful painting you replicate. So while we can’t provide specific solutions, we can sharethe rewardsfor completing them.
First Painting
A Four Leaf Clover - Use to reroll new card draws.
Bee Totem - Converts your Squirrel cards to bees.
How To Open The Safe
A reward for those attentive to the rules (or who pay attention to the dialogue), thecode to the safeis found inside the rulebook, specifically onthe Mighty Leap Sigil page. If you’re able to’t be bothered:the code is 273.
You need to have died at least once before the code is exposed in the book. If you put in the code early, the items inside are replaced by a meat glob.
Opening the safe will reward you withthe Stinkbug card, which will talk to you and the other cards, similar to the Stoat. You’ll also finda key used to open the Puzzle Cabinet.
How To Solve The Puzzle Cabinet
Once youget the key from the safe, use it to unlock the cabinet. This will expose twosliding block puzzlesresembling a card game encounter.
The goal is to move the cards so that you (the lower half)deal damage equal to the indicator on the left(five). you may move ‘cards’ from one side of the board to the other, changing which side deals that card’s damage. Once the first two are solved, two more will appear on the lower half of the cabinet.

How To Get The Dagger From The Wolf And Squirrel Puzzle
You may have noticeda wolf figurine in a cageand a squirrel figurine throughout the cabin. First,Unlock the Caged Wolf card from the Cabinet.Thenhave it ‘die’ in a card battle encounter. This will convert the card to a wolf and release the wooden wolf carving in the cabin.
Place the wolf carving beside the wooden squirrel holding a dagger.Doing so will release the dagger allowing you to take it. Replacing the Pliers, this will allow you tosacrifice your own eyeand add four points to the scale.
How To Open The Cuckoo Clock
To open the clock, you need torotate the arms using the dialsuntil they indicate the correct time.
To see the correct time, you must havelost your eye using the dagger andreplaced it after a battle with the eye of Magnificus(the glowy runic one). Once you have that, look at the clock to see the arm positions. For us, it was4:25:05.The contents of the compartment that opens pertain to the story.
During Leshy’s Trials, you will also see‘11’carved into the table next to a clock shape. Putting this into the clock will result in the top door opening, wherea bird will give you a ring.
This ring is used to automatically pass Leshy’s Trial of the Ring.
How To Upgrade The Candle Smoke Cards
This secret is one of some mild persistence. Every run,step away from the table and approach the candle with a glass container over it. Put the candle out.After doing thisthree times, a Smoke card will be revealed.
Whenever youreach a boss with two candles lit, Leshy will put one out and grant you a Smoke card. This secret willupgrade it to a Greater Smoke card.While still mostly just a bone farm, this card offers a more diverse usage beyond immediately sacrificing it, like the standard Smoke cards.
How To Get The Boon Of The Bone Lord
you’re able to encounter a sacrifice event while playing the board. You are allowed tosacrifice a card to a goat skull. Most cardswill reward you with theMinor Boon of the Bone Lord. This grants you one bone at the start of each game.
If yousacrifice the black goat, specifically, however, you’re given the standardBoon of the Bone Lord card. Significantly more powerful, it grants eight bones at the start of each encounter.
After your first sacrifice, a goat skull will appear in the cabin.Interacting with it several times will make the eyes glow red.While this does not change anything in-game. It plays a role in the Inscryption ARG game.
How To Get Free Teeth From The Skull
The random skull in the cabin? You canselect the golden teethand take them to use on that run.
When you start a new run or defeat a boss, itrespawns with two to five teeth. These can becollected and used as currencywith the trapper selling pelts.
What The Goat Eye Replacement Does
When choosing a new eye (after having used the knife to remove one and earned one back), you canchoose what appears to be a goat eye. Doing so does not grant you any benefits.
It will, however, makeyour perception of the black goat card changeintoa goat with large sparkly eyes and what appears to be a maid outfit.
Poison The Campers For Free Upgrades
There is a risk to upgrading a card at the campfire. The campers there might steal and eat the card. If you allow this to happen with either theRingworm cardorany card with the Poison trait, they will become sick and will not appear in any future campfires you come across.
Since the campfires are now empty, you cansafely upgrade a card a maximum of five timeswithout fear of loss.
The Glitched Card
The most mysterious of all the secrets in Act One, the Glitched card has no discernible triggers. It isacquired as a random card dropthrough any standard event that grants cards. When played, it willrandomly become a different cardfor that match.
Interestingly, the card comes with a set of binary as a description. When translated,the binary says “deepbeneath,”which may allude to the OLD DATA lore.
