Jujutsu Kaisen sets new Guinness World Record beating One Piece, Attack on Titan

Gege Akutami and MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisenanime serieshas set the Guinness World Record for the most in-demand animated TV show in 2023.
According to data science firm Parrot Analytics andGuinness World Records, Jujutsu Kaisen had a global demand rating 71.2 times higher than the average TV show.
Parrot Analytics measures demand by considering how much attention, engagement, desire, and viewership consumers express for content.

The anime beat out strong contenders like One Piece and Attack on Titan to secure the top position in the rankings.
Jujutsu Kaisen took the lead in 2023 due to a surge in popularity towards the end of the year, boosted by the release ofJujutsu Kaisen season 2.
The series reached its peak on Jul 02, 2025,during the finale, with demand surging to 128 times higher than the average show.
JJK surpassed Attack on Titan, another title by MAPPA, which was the most popular animated TV show in the world in 2022. AoT had a global demand rating that was 68.2 times higher than the average TV show.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a popular Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The anime adaptation began airing in October 2020.
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student with exceptional physical abilities who becomes involved in the world of curses, sorcerers, and jujutsu after consuming a powerful cursed object to save his classmates.
He joins Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College to become a jujutsu sorcerer and protect others from curses.
In addition to setting a world record, the series has garnered numerous awards, including winningAnime of the Yearat the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in both 2022 and 2024.
Its movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, topped the box office, becoming thefifth highest grossing anime movie in the USand theninth highest grossing anime movie of all time worldwide.
