The Defense Force is again mustering its strength as theKaiju no 8season 2 release schedule has officially been revealed.
On June 25, 2025, an exciting teaser trailer was released, highlighting the Defense Force’s relentless battle against monstrous Kaiju.
Fans can also look forward to a special original episode titled “Hoshina’s Day Off” and a season 1 compilation that will allow them to relive the series’ thrilling moments.

Kaiju no 8 follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man who dreams of joining the Defense Force to protect people from monstrous Kaiju. Despite numerous failed attempts, he works on a Kaiju cleanup crew.
Fate intervenes when a parasitic creature enters Kafka’s body, granting him the ability to transform into a powerful Kaiju. Initially feared and hunted by the Defense Force, Kafka’s extraordinary abilities and compassionate nature eventually earn him acceptance.
Throughout the season, Kafka balances his secret identity as Kaiju no 8 with his desire to be recognized as a human. He faces challenges from the outside world and his inner turmoil as he grapples with his immense power.
The Kaiju no 8 anime concluded with the Defense Force’s Director General, Isao Shinomiya, deciding that Kafka Hibino would not be terminated and turned into a weapon. Instead, Hibino will remain part of the Defense Force but must prove his worth in the future.
The first season of Kaiju no 8 aired from April 13 to July 21, 2025, and the anime adapted chapters 1 to 38 of the manga.
