Although Latenna’s questline is very easy to miss, starting it is required the reach the largest optional areas of the game, the Consecrated Snowfields and the Haligtree, and one of the game’s most difficult bosses, Malenia.

The Village Of The Albinaurics

Located in a large cavern beneath the Moonlight Altar in Liurnia is theVillage of the Albinaurics. This town is easily missed, nestled carefully into the cliffside and on the other side of alarge poison swamp. You can travel here easiest by headingsouth from the Folly On The Lake(near where Rya can be found) and locating the poison swamp filled withLand Octopusguarding it.

Use Torrent to run across, ignoring these creatures, to find theVillage of the Albinauricson the opposite side.

For efficiency and completing the entirety of the Village of the Albinaurics in one visit, you’ll want to startNepheli Loux’s questlinebefore venturing here. Doing so will allow you to receive her assistance against the boss found here.

From here, ignore the helpless Albinaurics on the ground and continue up the pathof hanging victims to find the Site of Grace near the shed building up top. Ignore the bridge path and insteadhead further upwardto eventually run across aPerfumerenemy. Dispatch him and find avery large pothiding in the corner of this area.Roll into or lightly strike itto reveal the pot to be an old Albinauric man.

The Secret At Slumbering Wolf Shack

Not far from the village, travel to the Lakeside Crystal Cave. It is due east and also embedded in the cliffside. This location is easily located bylooking for a gathering of crystals out front. If coming from the Laskyar Ruins instead (which is closer and easier), you’ll want toventure west until you’ve passed the mounted bell ringerand turn left once you site a grouping of crystals to find a large opening in the cliffs.

Delve into the cavehere and ignore the demi-humans up top. Instead, jump down into the chasmnear the Site of Grace. You should see an assortment of small ledges to guide your descent downward. Continue heading down, dispatching any enemies you come across, until you reach the boss: TheBloodhound Knight.

If you have already ventured to theMountaintops of the Giants and completed Castle Sol, thereby earning both sides of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, Latenna will be dead by the time you find her here, locking you out of her quest and her special summons.

Spirit Ash Latenna

Easily one of the best spirit ashes in the game, Latenna acts as a ‘turret’ option that fires long range, powerful arrows (three at a time) at an enemy currently engaged in battle with you.

She does not move - unless summoned near a Dire Wolf she will use as a mount - but can draw aggression or provide long-range support. She’s a particularly good spirit ash for summoners who enjoy having a bit of support without ruining the experience and fun of a boss encounter.

Many players have reported Latenna never speaking to them in the Mountaintops of the Giants - a glitch also personally stumbled upon. If Latenna never speaks to you, the quest progresses as normal regardless. Do not fret if she does not; it will not have an impact on the ending.

Once the commander is dispatched, venture farther into the castle andtake the lift to the rooftop. There, you’ll find a lonely ghost looking out over the edge. You’ll receive theleft side of the Haligtree Secret Medallion nearby in a chest.
