Following nine weeks of intense matches in the regular season, the professional Korean league moves into to the LCK Spring 2024 playoffs.
Gen.Gleads the competition as the frontrunner, having secured first place during the regular season. They dominated theAll-LCK First Team, with their mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon earning both the Player of the Split and Regular Season MVP awards.

What is the LCK Spring 2024 playoffs?
The LCK Spring 2024 playoffs is the culminating tournament of the LCK Spring split, where teams fight for the first LCK title of the year and MSI 2024 qualification.
Format of the LCK Spring playoffs
In the LCK Spring 2024 playoffs, only the top six out of the 10 franchised esports organizations qualify. The seeding for the playoffs depends on their placement in the regular season.
The playoffs follows a double-elimination bracket format, beginning from round 2. The top two teams from the regular season, Gen.G and T1, skip round 1 and directly enter round 2.
In round 1, Hanwha Life Esports, the third seed, picked Kwangdong Freecs as their opponent. The remaining team, Dplus KIA, faces off against the fourth seed, KT Rolster.
Round 2 sees Gen.G, the first seed, selecting their opponents from the winners of round 1. The winning teams from round 2 move to the winner’s final, while the losing teams drop to the lower bracket.
The upper bracket final (first match of round 3) determines the first finalist, while the losing team enters the lower bracket final (round 4) against the winner of the first lower bracket match (second match of round 3).
The winner of the lower bracket final advances to the grand final, where they compete against the upper bracket final winner for the championship trophy.
The LCK Spring 2024 champion and the second-place team qualify to represent the Korean region at MSI 2024.
