More than a decade since its launch,League of Legends’ cast has grown tomore than 140 Champions. In the early days, the roster consisted of characters that were (to put it mildly) fairly generic, but it has improved dramatically since then. The game is now full of terrifying monsters, stoic warriors, and brave heroes haunted by tragic pasts.

However, while those characters are all great fun, sometimes you just want to have a good time. Here are Champions you could hang out with who wouldn’t ruin the vibe, either with depressing stories or just by killing you in some horrific way.
10Veigar
Veigar claims to be evil, but it would really be more accurate to describe him as melodramatic. He loves the trappings of evil, but tends to do more good than anything else, even if that’s (supposedly) by accident.
Despite his tragic backstory, Veigar’s theatrics make him arguably the most entertaining character to be around. You don’t even really have to do anything — just sit back and watch him work. His antics might get grating after a while, but he would be hilarious in small doses.
9Vi
This list had to have someone from Arcane, right? Jinx is a little too… murder-y to be someone you’d want to hang out with, and Jace and Viktor don’t really seem like the fun-having types, but Vi is basicallythe epitome of cool.
The only reason she isn’t higher is that, given the events of the show, she might not be in the mood to do a lot of hanging out. Hopefully you’ll catch her on a good day. If so, maybe she’d even bring Caitlyn along. The more, the merrier, after all.
8Gragas
Gragas offers a very specific type of fun. He likes to drink, fight, and party; often all at the same time. If that sounds enjoyable to you, hanging out with Gragas will be a great time.

The trouble is, those are the only things he likes to do (he really could use more lore). If drinking isn’t your thing, Gragas doesn’t have much to offer. If you just want a quiet night in, for instance, you’ll find yourself extremely disappointed.
7Lulu
Thanks to her association with faeries (namely her friend Pix), Lulu is even more whimsical than your average Yordle. The combination of faeries with Yordles probably sounds like the most annoying thing imaginable to some. For others, though, it represents endless entertainment.
Lulu gets up to fun hijinks, like turning children into mushrooms, or changing the weapons of rival armies into flowers as they’re fighting. Hanging out with Lulu is going to be weird and confusing, but that’s exactly what some people are looking for.
6Zoe
It’s a bit of a meme to hate Zoe, since on the surface, she is basically an annoying “look at how fun and quirky I am” character. But there are a couple reasons you might actually enjoy spending time with her.
First of all, Zoe is basically the embodiment of mischief; so long as her pranks aren’t directed towards you, you’ll have a great time. Additionally, as the Apect of Twilight, Zoe is one of the most powerful characters in the game, lore-wise. As a result, any shenanigans you get into would be truly spectacular (including bullying a certain cosmic dragon).
5Sona
The most obvious choice for the musically inclined might be Seraphine, but she’s a bit too famous for a casual hangout. Sona is just as talented, but you won’t be swarmed by adoring fans (though you’ll have to keep an eye out for mageseekers).
One problem you might run into is that Sona is mute, so you won’t be doing much in the way of conversation unless you happen to know the Runeterran version of sign language. In that case, you’ll have an even better time, but even if you can’t speak, you and Sona can communicate through the language of music.
4Braum
Braum might be League’s friendliest Champion. He seems willing to hang out with just about anyone, so surely you wouldn’t have any trouble joining in. He’s a defender of the weak and desperate, and a performer of great deeds. You’ll also get to meet his fluffy friends, the Poros, Runeterra’s most adorable residents.
And as an added bonus, standing next to Braum is probably the safest place in all of Runeterra. As a result, you won’t need to worry about anyone interrupting your good time, which feels like it would otherwise be a common problem.
3Neeko
Neeko doesn’t know too much about humans. That, combined with her ability to take the shape of others, along with their emotions and memories, might cause some significant confusion and awkward interactions. That said, it would certainly be a unique and entertaining experience.

The real reason you’d want to hang out with Neeko, though, is her curious, fun-loving nature. To take her own words, she “just wants to make friends and eat cheese breads and be happy.” What more could you ask for?
2Ekko
Ekko hails from Arcane, and, in the show, he’s been forced by circumstances to become a hardcore revolutionary, but underneath that exterior is a brilliant guy with a knack for wild inventions.
If you’re the mechanically-minded type, you can join Ekko in building new and dangerous technology. If not, you can always help him test something he’s already made. He might even let you try one of those hoverboards he built. Those things look like an exceptionally fun way to nearly kill yourself. And don’t worry; Ekko can always reverse time if you fall.
1Graves And Twisted Fate
Bilgewater’s most notorious criminal duo, Graves and Twisted Fate come as a package deal. They spend most of their time getting each other in and out of various hijinks. Hanging out with them would allow you to join their trio and get into trouble right along with them.
The “hanging out” you do might not be entirely legal (or particularly safe), but it will definitely be entertaining. The only risk is that you’ll end up feeling like a third wheel — although,in Bilgewater, there’s always enough chaos to go around.
