With the winner of MSI now qualifying for Worlds and the runner-up’s region securing an additional seed, the stakes are higher than ever. This opening act promises high-octane LoL esports action as regional champions — including theWorlds 2023 champion T1— vie for a shot at glory.
Last year saw a significant format change with more teams joining the competition. The number of representatives from major regions like LCS, LEC, LCK, and LPL doubled to two each.
The format also shifted to a Play-In Stage and Bracket Stage with a double elimination format, a first for LoL esports.
