Psychonautsfans were ecstatic when the cult classic had a sequel announced. It was over 16 years between the initial release and its sequel, with only a VR game to tide fans over in the meantime. Still, they were rewarded as the game was a hit with fans and critics alike.

One aspect people loved since original is the distinct and otherworldly designs of its characters. Several have disproportionate limbs and heads compared to lanky or stubby bodies. But this only served to endear these characters, along with their outstanding outfits that many have a time-period theme.
10Hollis Forsythe
Hollis is the consummate professional. She keeps a neat and clean appearance accentuated by her white pinstriped suit. Her hospital background is likely the cause for this, guiding her habits through all of her life.
Her look still has a bit of flair to it, however. The blue trim gives her a splash of color while not being a distraction or standing out too much. A great look for a businesswoman, but maybe not the leader of the Psychonauts. Also, her shoulders and suit combo give off an ode to the big shoulder look of women in the 1980s.
9Morceau Oleander
While most people wear their hearts on their sleeve, Coach Morry Oleander makes sure to wear his medals on his chest. Even a suit doesn’t deter him from making sure that they are seen by any onlookers.
His military background is showcased in the ammo sling her has wrapped around his body. If that wasn’t enough, he also wears a pair of military boots. His outfit feels like pseudo-camouflage with its darker green pants and shirt covered by a beige coat.
8Truman Zanotto
Instantly, Truman gives you a feeling of a jovial and aloof man. Hiswild and flowing beardruns in contrast to the wisps of hair on his head. It shows that while he may enjoy a good time, he’s also a man with experience.

But, mostly, he’s jovial as his outfit is more like a bathrobe than the robe of, say, a king. The plush blue material is trimmed with a rope-like red color that matches the color of his pajama bottoms. It feels inspired by The Big Lebowski.
7Otto Mentallis
Otto is too much in the best possible way. This is a man that does not care about fashion or matching. Even his skin doesn’t match anything, as his dark green turtleneck clashes with his blue skin. His puffer jacket has a gray trim, and this is the closest he comes to matching as it’s the same color as his reverse waterfall hair.
As if that wasn’t enough, his glasses are yellow rimmed while his pants are a brown striped pair of slacks. His shoes are an even darker brown. He wouldn’t look right in any setting, which means he fits in perfectly in Psychonauts.
6Milla Vordella
Milla is deeply rooted in the 1970s with her colorful attire that would’ve been right at home in Woodstock. She wears a small blue shawl over a flowing pink and yellow skirt. Her blue socks have a psychedelic circular pattern of various colors.
Even when not wearing bright clothes, she still shines. Her suit is a very clean blue with a white blouse, and it wouldn’t be out of place in a typical board meeting. Her disguise outfit is the best of both, offering a dark starry night for her skirt. Her dark gray hat has a shiny material that matches her boots and gloves.
5Dr. Caligosto
Dr. Loboto is doing his best just to stay together, literally. He’s a mishmash of parts of different styles, colors, and material. Even his mechanical eyes aren’t matching, with his left one being red and narrower while his right is flatter and green. While he wears a glove on one arm, his other hand is a wooden claw.

This is all before we even get to his outfit, which is a combination of a scientist’s lab coat and a straightjacket from an asylum. On top of everything, he wears a green shower cap with a floral pattern.
4Lili Zanotto
Lili returns with an evolution of her original design. She kept the diamond pattern for her outfit while her pink skirt and purple socks have become the main colors of her current outfit. It’s a full skirt as opposed to a detached version from before.
Her skirt has them as primary colors while her gloves and bracelets are purple and pink, respectively. She’s added blue jeans and a black jacket with matching boots, giving her a punk rock look that fits her perfectly.
3Hellmut Fullbear
Hellmut Fullbear is a beast of a man that has an appearance like aViking. He has long, flowing red hair accompanied by an overly long mustache. He also has the typical helm that Vikings tend to wear.
His outfit is the best part of his design — he wears a giant black coat with a blue oval pattern over a green stripped turtleneck, and the area around the collar has the colors of the rainbow that goes down to his chest. It’s loud, garish, and amazing.
2Razputin ‘Raz’ Aquato
Raz has the greatest number of outfits in the game, so it stands to reason that he’ll have some amazing designs. Even his suit outfit looks vastly different depending on if he’s wearing his signature helmet.
His teal-blue turtleneck pops because of his beige coat and matching shoes. But it looks even better in Helmut Fullbear’s mental world, as he trades the beige coat for a design more like the one from the original game. It was hard to improve on his initial design and somehow, it’s even better.
1Lucrecia Mux
Lucrecia appears as both a young woman and an old lady, and both designs are outstanding. The old woman has a blue cloak that seems stitched together from various colorful materials. It’s like a blanket your grandmother might knit. Her long, white hair is tied in a bun that gives the impression of a cyclone or the beehive style of the1960s.
The younger version has the look of a wandering fortune-teller. Her long dress has purple as a base with gold and red at the hem of her sleeve, and she has a flower growing in the middle of it with an eye symbol. Her brown headdress has red trim that matches the sleeves too. It’s a design that’s both muted and colorful.
