As theHonor of Kings Invitational Midseason 2024wraps up at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, HOK Global Esports promises to pick up where it left towards the last quarter of the year.
Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group announced the date of the first-ever Honor of Kings Championship 2024, including this year’s host country.
What is Honor of Kings Championship 2024?
The Honor of Kings Championship 2024 is the most prestigious event of the Honor of Kings esports calendar this year and the first-ever global tournament of the game.
In the inaugural world championship, 16 of the best teams from across the globe converge to compete for the title.
Teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Turkey, Brazil, the Middle East and North Africa, America, Europe, the Pacific, and more are set to compete in the grandest stage in HOK esports.
Previously, theHonor of Kingsinternational esports tournament was the World Champion Cup (KIC) which only featured teams from China and a selection of teams from other regions.
Since the game’s global launch, HOK Esports has built good momentum outside of China.
They first started with the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this July whereLGD Gaming MYbecame the champions of the tournament.
After that, Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation to host the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason 2024 at Riyadh where 12 teams battled for the lion’s share of the US$3,000,000 prize pool.
Indonesia to host Honor of Kings Championship 2024
This October, the world of esports will turn its eyes to Indonesia for the Honor of Kings Championship.
Indonesia has hosted various international events in other esports titles such as Dota2’s Bali Major in June 2023, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s M4 World Championship in January 2023.
