How to unlock fishing in Stellar Blade
You can’t start fishing in Stellar Blade right away. First, you gotta reach the Great Desert. That’s about halfway through the main story.
Once you find the giant oasis in the center, look for an NPC named Clyde. Once you find him, initiate a conversation. He’s the resident fisherman who will introduce you to the “Looking Glass” side quest.
This quest will introduce you to the fishing world. You will have to complete it by catching a few fish at the oasis, and Clyde will reward you with your very own fishing rod and bait.

Once you get your fishing equipment, the final thing to do is catch some quality fish. Here’s how you do it:
Equipping the rod: Hold down the D-pad to access your combat consumables wheel. Select the fishing rod, then double-tap down on the D-pad again to choose your bait.
Different baits may attract different fish, so you’ll need to experiment to see what works best.
Casting the line: Find a body of water and flick the left stick back and forth to cast your line. You need patience because it might take a while for a fish to bite the bait.
When your controller vibrates, that’s your cue. Quickly press R2 to set the hook.
Catching the fish: You’ll have a limited time (approximately 45-60 seconds depending on the fish’s size) to reel it in. A bar will appear on the screen.
You’ll need to keep a close eye on it. Here are the steps to catch the stuck fish:
