Luckily,Tales Of Symphonia Remastereddoesn’t flood you with complex weapon systems, even though there are still plenty of choices.

Since the overall weapon stats are fairly simple, it’s easy to pick which weapons are the absolute best for each and every character, even if none of them are reallyall that iconic. There may even be a few weapons that can be arguably just as powerful as another depending on your chosen playstyle.
10Raine - Crystal Rod
The best normal weapon available forthe white mage of the groupRaine is her Crystal Rod, a weapon that boasts 640 attack. It is a major step up from a lot of the other weapons that she has access to, though actually acquiring it can be pretty tough.
The weapon is only available if you may dominate the tricky Meltokio Coliseum with Raine. If you can make it through the advanced class with her, then you’ll earn the rod and be more than ready to take on whatever challenges the end game has in store.
9Genis - One World
People who aren’t the biggest fans of minigames that break up gameplay may not like trying to get Genis’ best weapon. The kendama known as One World isthe mage’s best normal weaponwith an attack of 680 and an additional intelligence of 12.
In order to acquire the weapon you’ll have to spend your time playing the Red Light, Green Light minigame on the Grand Tethe’alla Bridge. The weapon is a reward for winning, but it still might be a bit of a headache to earn.
8Kratos/Zelos - Crystal Dagger
The best dagger weapon in the game is the Crystal Dagger a weapon that has 750 attack and an additional 30 accuracy. Like many other daggers in the game, it provides bonus damage to the many beasts you’ll find, but it also restores a bit of your TP every few seconds.

The weapon isn’t difficult to get, you just have to wait quite a while to gain access to it. You’ll be able to find it in Torent Forest toward the end of the game when Lloyd has his fateful standoff against his father Kratos.
7Sheena - Divine Judgement
Sheena’s best normal weapon with a base attack of 810 is the card known as Divine Judgement. Unfortunately, you will need to put a lot of effort intoleveling the summoner upand becoming acquainted with her many abilities if you hope to get the weapon.
Some weapons require you to fight your way through Meltokio’s Coliseum, and that’s just what you have to do for Divine Judgement. If you can overcome the difficult task, you’ll have a fantastic weapon for the summoner of the group. Just be ready for a lot of attempts to earn this weapon.
6Colette - Angel Halo
When compared with the other characters who have to enter the Meltokio Coliseum for a weapon, you might have the easiest time withthe angel Colette. If you manage to come out on top in the advanced class, you’ll come away with her Angel Halo.
The weapon has a base strength of 850, making it Colette’s best normal weapon by a long shot. It’ll take practice in order to earn the weapon, but thanks to Colette’s varied skills, you should be able to get the weapon in just a few tries.
5Regal - Dynast
While Regal may not be one of the most exciting characters to bring into every battle, he does boast some of the most damaging attacks in the game, and his powerful leg guard Dynast certainly helps make that true. The beast of a weapon boasts 920 base attack when you retrieve it.
In order to get the weapon, you’ll have to get Regal all the way up to level 80. Once that’s done you’ll have to follow a set of steps for a few conversations that include a man in prison and another at a hot spring, but otherwise getting the weapon is quite simple.
4Kratos/Zelos - Last Fencer
In order to get the best sword that Zelos and Kratos can equip, you’ll have to take on a serious challenge. Luckily, Zelos is a pretty strong character to wield when taking on his sister Seles in the Coliseum.
The sword Last Fencer has a base attack of 920 and is incredibly effective against human enemies. You’ll have to have completed most of the game to get your hands on the sword, but it’s worth it when tackling the final challenges since it only makes a character like Zelos all the more powerful.
3Lloyd - Kusanagi Blade/Valkyrie Saber
When it comes to Lloyd’s best weapon, it’s actually a tie betweenthe dual-wielded Kusanagi Blades, received from defeating the Sword Dancer for the third time, and the Valkyrie Saber, a reward for beating the advanced class in the Meltokio Coliseum.

The Kusanagi Blades has 930 attack for slashing and 850 attack for thrusting, and the Valkyrie Sabers flip those stats. Basically, you’re preferred attack style will determine which swords are better in the end. Luckily, Lloyd offers so many attack-style opportunities, that pretty much any weapon works well for him.
2Presea - Gaia Cleaver
Presea’s best weapon is the Gaia Cleaver, an absolute damage dealer. It’s actually the strongest base weapon in the game at a whopping 999 attack. The amount of damage that Presea can output makes up for her lack of options on the field.
To receive the weapon, you’ll have to level Presea up to at least level 80 before heading back to Ozette for a special conversation. If you’ve managed to get her to level 80 before taking on the final challenges, the Gaia Cleaver is certain to help you cleave through the final challenges.
1The Devil’s Arms
The Devil’s Arms are a collection of weapons that you get access to in the end game if you take on the toughest challenge in the game. Your reward is a devastatingly powerful weapon, but only after you beat the boss Abyssion. Once complete, the weapon’s strength will scale with the monsters slain.
Because the weapons are rewarded by the time you’ll have done everything else, they lose a lot of their luster as incredible weapons, and depending on your used characters, some of the weapons can actually be quite weak. Getting them all and unleashing their power is a fun treat for completionists, but those going through the game normally might not be interested in putting in all the work required.
