We all love butts. And if you say you don’t, you’re lying. Some of us have been more gracefully endowed in the booty department than others, and these particularly blessed individuals have chosen to use their butts as weapons of mass destruction.

The same might apply to real life, but that’s not what we’re focusing on right now. We are going over the best butt stomps or ground-pound moves in the video game world.
10Elden Ring
The best butt stomp in a video game award has to go toElden Ring. Elden Ring is no stranger to winning awards. It did win the best video game at the 2022 Game Awards, after all. But we’re sure that the very prestigious award for the best butt stomp is much more satisfying than that.
The reason why the butt stomp is just so great in Elden Ring is that the overall tone of the game is a little bleak. That, combined with the endless stream of tears that roll down your cheeks because you’ve died so many times, makes Elden Ring lean a little more on the serious side. A good butt stomp is the perfect way to lighten the mood.
9Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Kazooie’sBeak Buster is one of the most nostalgic butt stomps out there. And that’s probably because it’s got the power of both Banjo’s butt and Kazooie’s beak, making it one of the strongest butt stomps known to man.
And don’t come for us. We know Kazooie’s beak is what the move is named after. But Kazooie undoubtedly gets the extreme boost of speed needed to perform such a tricky maneuver from Banjo’s butt.
8Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2has a whole host of incredible characters with some super awesome moves. You can destroy your enemies in a giant mech suit as D.Va or slay some baddies with Genji’s shuriken. But there is one weapon that is sadly overlooked in Overwatch. That weapon is Winston’s butt.

We feel like Winston’s butt is just as strong as any of the tanks in Overwatch 2 and definitely deserves more love. So next time you’re dabbling in a little bit of Overwatch 2, try butt-stomping your way to victory with Winston.
7Yoshi’s Island
Yoshidoesn’t have a lot to work with. He does have a big head and little arms, after all. And when you’re making your way through an Island filled with Koopa Troopas, you have to use every tool at your disposal.
For Yoshi, this includes his butt. And it is quite powerful, so fair enough. Yoshi also adds a little flair to his butt stomp by doing a front flip before colliding with whatever poor surface is unlucky enough to meet with his cheeks of power.
6Batman: Arkham City
The butt stomp inBatman: Arkham City is a little different from the rest. Instead of stomping his own butt into the ground, it is the thug’s butts that get stomped. If timed correctly, the following move where Batman ground pounds a thug right in their butt is extremely satisfying and hilarious to pull off.
Occasionally and unfortunately for the thugs, sometimes they also get ground pounded in the nuts. Ouch. We prefer to keep our butts and Crown Jewels safe by staying on the right side of the law and right out of Batman’s way.
5The Simpsons: Hit And Run
The SimpsonsHit and Run wouldn’t really be a Simpsons game without a classic butt stomp from none other than Homer Simpson himself. The butt stomp, or ground pound as it is commonly referred to, is an absolute classic move that has been used across hundreds of different games.
There are many different ways to ground pound, but many choose a method that suits the character’s personality. And we can’t think of another way for Homer Simpson to perform a ground pound without using his butt.
4Borderlands: The Pre Sequel
Borderlandsis known for lacing its games with some humor here and there, and what better way to live life on the bright side than adding a beloved butt slam into the mix. While guns are the preferred weapon in any Borderlands title, butts are also right up there with some of the best weapons in the game.

There are even four secret butt slam buttons located around Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that unlock Benjamin Blue’s cage. If you pat him a couple of times, he will spawn a ring of loot for you to collect.
3Basically Any Mario Game
Mario’sbutt stomp is an absolutely classic move that has been around for about as long as Mario’s butt has. This mythical butt slam can be used to destroy pretty much anything that is destroyable and can be found in almost every Mario game.
But Mario spices it up a little bit, just like Yoshi does, by adding a flip beforehand. Maybe it helps them go faster or something. Physics aside, it is safe to say that Mario’s butt slam is legendary, and it has inspired many others to incorporate the beloved butt slam into their video games as well.
2Battle For Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated
Battle For Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated allows you to play as a number of beloved SpongeBob characters. One of which, of course, is Patrick. It would almost be a crime to not include Patrick as a playable character in a SpongeBob game.
Just as it would almost be a crime to have Patrick as a playable character in a SpongeBob game and not give him a butt slam. It just suits his personality perfectly. Patrick and butt slams are a match made in Heaven.
1God Of War: Ragnarök
Ground pounds just hit harder when you’re a Norse God. And that’s why the epic ground pound fromGod of War: Ragnarökhad to make its way onto this list. Okay. Maybe Kratos doesn’t use his butt specifically to slam things to oblivion in God of War: Ragnarök.
But his ground pound is probably more powerful than all the butts on this planet combined. It does leave us wondering, though.Would it have been even more powerful if he did use his butt? There is still time. Hopefully, we will see the butt slam in its full glory in the next God of War game.
