Each of the six stats has its own final destination on this whirlwind trip; the hitchhikers you romance add layers, with some being specifically tied to special stats. Random events along the road and how you deal with them can even trigger storyline endings, as does being the MVP of the Pranksterz Crew. All of this can get tricky to keep track of, so here is each stat-based ending ranked.

6The Cryptid Prom

By avoiding scenarios that make you question your very reality and putting some effort into learning stuff, you can make it to the Mind final destination. And who isthe best hitchhiker to bring as a date? Moss Mann, of course; who else would blend in as well at a prom for the urban legends of the monster world? There’s no better place to seek out hot gossip than among raving teens, either, which is Moss Mann’s favorite pastime.

This ending gets pretty meta, as bonding with Moss means he can give you tips on maximizing resources, and the narrator even suggests going back to play the original Monster Prom game! The young monsters you encountered along the way all got there safely, thanks to you, and they are clearly having the times of their spooky lives. All of this makes it a pretty heartwarming ending, and Moss’s final speech about stars and sharing a secret never told is the cherry on top.

5Dreamed Dominions

In a world where your car runs on Magic, it’s no real surprise that there are pocket dimensions oozing gooey adventure around every corner. To enter one of these strange new lands, simply hold onto 25 Magic, but if you want the best Magic ending, then you’ll need the plot layer and the romantic layer too. She’s the perfect choice to bring to a fantasy pocket dimension, as she’s clearly the protagonist of the story, not you! Help Evil Joy convince her ex Gerard to bring down the evil porcelain Nu during the vibe check by choosing the option you have the most Resources in. The gang will reunite in an adventure not unlike Dungeons and Dragons, with Calculester the bard and Joy the Sorceress. Every ending is a new beginning.

4Knifeland

This game’s humorwas made for a destination such as Knifeland, where torture, murder, and illegal pranks are the only ways to have fun. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get a severed head as a memento of your time with your friends. You’ll need at least 25 Hype to gain admission; but to make it super special, you’ll want to hold off on reaching 15 until Week three. This triggers a set of special road encounters, with different scenarios depending on the stat you’re chasing after.

The hitchhiker of choice here is hell’s hypeman himself, Damien. ensure to have a deep conversation with him before you reach 25 Hype, and he’ll get you into all the hot spots at Knifeland. What makes this ending so great is the monsters you helped on the roadside are here too, and you even get to watch one guy spread his father’s ashes, which is uncharacteristically bittersweet for Monster Prom.

3The Merkingdom Feast

The politics surrounding this storyline is the bee’s knees, with loads of characters throughout the monster-verse having their own opinions, agendas, and loyalties. If you pick up Miranda Vanderbilt from the Rest Stop, you’ll get so much backstory about the internal conflicts raging within the Merkingdom. The depth added when an honored guard is encountered trying to help each of the Vanderbilts in their own schemes really takes the cake for what is meant to be a spicy and hilarious visual novel.

To get the most from this story, you’ll need to chat with Miranda three times and have less than 15 Money at the end of Week two. This eventually triggers peace talks with the rulers of the circles of hell, after which you’ll need to amass the rest of your wealth, having at least 25 Money. Corny as it sounds, the best part of this layered final destination is the journey to it and theworld-building the developers have worked so hard on.

2Veranotone

A four-day festival with the afterlife’s Party People themselves; Summer, Macarena, and Cheese! You’re going to need a lot of Stamina for this one, and it goes without saying that you’ll have to help them acquire a ridiculous number of drugs, too. However, to achieve the best ending with a romantic layer, you’ll need to bond with an unlikely hitchhiker. Liam has been around a long time and done almost everything there is to do while immortal, but partying away at Veranotone has yet to be checked off his list.

Not only is the festival a total blast, but helping the ghosts decode their drug dealer’s texts and convince him you’re on the level is a hilarious plot layer along the road. What puts it so high up this list is the life lessons we unexpectedly learn from Summer and Macarena. They explain how they died and what they learned as a result of the way they lived, adding even more to this well-written series.

1The City Of Vice

Finally, it’s the epitome of a Monster Prom Roadtrip, fully indulging in the City of Vice. Traveling with Polly and Scott, it’s rare that you ever hold back or consider the moral implications of your choices, and the Soul destination is the perfect ending to it all. You’ll need to gather 15 Soul after week three and 25 Soul before week seven to unlock every layer of this awesome outcome. By picking up Vera Oberlin, the stuffy mogul gorgon, you can convince her to let loose for once.

The monsters in the plot line along the road are all super unique, even helping an aardvark to convince gambling addicts to take a break. And if you pass the vibe check, they’ll all be there at the end of the line to give into their vices alongside you—the perfect destination on the perfect road trip.
