Here are the most memorable moments of Dragonlance: Shadow Of The Dragon Queen
10Backgrounds, And Classes, And Sidekicks, Oh My
Creating your character is one of the most exciting parts of any D&D adventure. No matter how in-depth you want to get with it, there are so many options in character creation to make it your own.
Making a new character with all the different aspects involved never seems to get old. From weaponry to mannerisms, it’s all here for you. The added benefit of this adventure is that they’ve added adedicated sidekick table. Soldiers and warriors alike can be drawn into your party as NPCs to help you fight back against the Dragon Army.
9Getting To Know The Party
Whether it’s session zero or one, meeting the rest of the party members around Vogler is always a treat. Seeing what weird and fun concepts your friends have decided to play in this adventure is sure to make some memories.
From there, it’s all about making connections and learning how to fight together as a team. The teamwork itself, especially when starting from scratch, is what makes D&D such a fun time.
8Exploring Vogler
Your first stop on your perilous journey is rather quaint; at first, anyway. There’s plenty in this port town to keep your party busy for some time.
Stopping by the ins and taverns, shopping for tools of the trade, or even gathering town gossip; it’s all here for you to experience. For a little while, anyway, for The Dragon army is always close at hand. But, no matter how long it lasts, it’s fun to get the first taste of the world of Krynn.
7That First Encounter
The first fight in any adventure is always something to remember. The one against the followers of The Dragon Queen is no exception to the rule.
Seeing the soldiers and their draconic allies is sure to have some characters ready for battle, while seeing their weaponry and numbers will make others want to flee for safety. Either way, after seeing them for the first time, you’ll be just counting down the minutes until the fight begins.
6A City In Flames
The Dragon Army’s invasion of Vogler is swift and brutal. The fight itself will put you and the rest of your players to the test when it comes to teamwork in combat.

While you may be able to fight off some with the help of the townspeople and their gnomeflinger, it is a pitched fight to be sure. It’s a hard feeling escaping the town as it goes up in flames, but it should only steel you for what is to come.
5Steel Springs
The forces of Kalaman have bitten off more than they could chew at Steel Springs. It is up to your party to help cover the soldiers' retreat lest they be overrun.
The second major fight in the game, and it’s a big one for sure. Whether your DM is using mass combat rules or not, you’ll definitely feel the sense of the draconic horde bearing down on you as you fight for every second of that retreat.
4The Massacre
As your party begins to rub elbows with some of the military leadership of Kalaman, it may seem like things are going to take a turn for the best. Unfortunately, in this adventure, the best rarely happens.
Finding the council of Kalaman all dead and beyond the aid of your healing or resurrection spells is something that not only bodes poorly for your adventure but for the war in general. It is a potent reminder of how evil the Dragon Army can be and how much is at stake on your mission. You’ll know to keep your eyes peeled from here on out.
3The City Of Lost Names
A city, long-forgotten, that was once capable of flying through the air. The Dragon Army looks to find it and use its power for nefarious purposes. Unless you can stop them, that is.

Exploring the wastes is quite a mixed bag. There are allies, random encounters, and enemies alike in the canyons of the Northern Wastes. It can be quitea horrific setting, knowing there could be enemies around any corner. One that you and the rest of your party won’t soon forget.
2A Floating City
Seeing the city take to the skies is such an experience as it’s described to you. Knowing that your enemy just got a powerful new tool gives you such a sinking feeling, but it is also kind of cool.
This is all subverted as the city’s ascension seems somewhat warped. As the city begins to destroy itself, there’s a certain sense of victory that is only overshadowed by the immediate danger you find yourselves in. You know, falling buildings all around you and such. If you and your party avoid getting pancaked, it will be a victory worth remembering. Although, you’re not as victorious as you’d hoped.
1The BBEG
Lord Soth isn’t an enemy to take lightly; well, no death knight is. But, him especially. You find him seated upon the citadel’s throne, knowing you must defeat him to save the day and Krynn as a whole.
Any BBEG is a tough one, but WotC really didn’t pull any punches when they were planning this fight. Everything in this adventure leads up to this make-or-break moment. You and your team’s skills are on display here as you face off againstthis fiendish foe. No pressure, right?
