Summary

InFortnite:Chapter 4 Season 5, commonly called ‘Fortnite OG’, the entire map has been completely changed, providing a blast from the past. Specifically, the prior map has been replaced by the ‘OG’ version, or the map that the game originally launched with when Fortnite first became a battle royale, which includes many iconic places of interest (POIs).

Even if you are familiar with these famous POIs, it is important to refresh your understanding and grasp the general layout and unique characteristics of every landing zone — since entering the match prepared will only further your chances of obtaining a victory crown. The following places of interest in Fortnite: Chapter 4 are those you should get to know best.

10Tomato Temple

Since there are not many vehicles in the original Fortnite map, where you choose to landhas become even more important. Since you may’t quickly race from one side of the map to the other, picking a POI that has several different rotation options is extremely ideal.

Just take Tomato Temple as an example, since it is in the upper right of the map and is still surrounded by seven different POIs. After you defeat any enemies and collect all the loot from this tomato-themed temple, you can then easily rotate to any one of these POIs to collect more loot or clean up fights.

9Pleasant Park

Pleasant Park is incredibly similar to Tomato Temple, except this time this POI is located in the upper left-hand side of the map instead of the right. This POI is made up of a collection of suburban houses that surround a park in the center of town, which can make combat somewhat tricky since there is not a massive amount of cover.

What makes Pleasant Park an ideal landing point is the surrounding POIs, since there are four different locations that you can travel to once you have safely landed. Furthermore, landing at this POI also makes it easier to stay within the storm circle, since you can freely go in any direction to follow the storm and also find a fresh POI.

8Paradise Palms

While Paradise Palms is separated from any other POIs, it still features a large area teeming with loot and combat opportunities. As it’s the only named POI in the desert, you may notice many players landing here which can create fun but challenging battles, so we recommend landing here if you are playing with friends.

If you are lucky enough to survive combat at Paradise Palms, then you’re able to explore some of the unnamed POIs on the map, like the racetrack directly above the POI. Also, there is a suspiciously smallamount of slurp juicethat can be found on this map, so landing at a large POI like Paradise Palms increases your chances of having full shields.

7Shifty Shafts

Shifty Shafts is a unique POI, as it is made out of a dense forest, an abandoned cabin, and a decrepit mineshaft. While there may not be a massive amount of loot in these buildings, you can protect yourself during gunfights by taking cover within the forests that surround the area.

What makes this such an advantageous landing spot is the proximity to other iconic POIs, such as Tilted Towers. There are also two gnome spawn points in this POI, which can assist you with certain quests this season.

6Flush Factory

Flush Factory is an industrial-themed POI that is located in an interesting part of the map, and also features a spacious parking lot that is perfect for building during fights. Since this factory is located at the bottom left of the map, it is only really connected to Shifty Shafts and Lucky Landing.

However, there are several unnamed POIs located directly next to the factory, meaning you can land at any of these spots and collect the loot there before traveling to a named POI. On the other hand, you could also easily land at the factory and raid these unnamed buildings and gas stations as a second option.

5Salty Springs

Located at the exact center of the entire map is Salty Springs, a small neighborhood made up of suburban houses. While this POI is certainly not very visually appealing, its central location on the map makes it incredibly easy to rotate in whatever direction the storm forces you to go.

There are also two larger mountains to the left of the POI, which can be climbed to scout out the surrounding areas and find any hidden enemies. Keep in mind that, if you do choose to land here, there is not a massive amount of loot to collect since the POI is generally smaller than others.

An image from Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 of the Fatal Fields POI, whidch is made up of barns and farmland.

4Fatal Fields

Fatal Fields is the farm that started it all, since many different POIs were inspired by this deadly farmland. Made up of dense fields and several different barns, this is a great landing spot if you are looking for long-ranged combat.

As the entire POI is made up of flat farmland and large barns, we recommend claiming a barn for your team and using the roof to take out any other teams from a distance. Finally, Fatal Fields is located directly under Salty Springs, the center of the entire map, so you easily rotate to collect more loot and clean up any lingering fights.

3Greasy Grove

Greasy Grove is a POI that has had many different iterations because it has been included in multiple different chapters and seasons throughout Fortnite’s long history. Typically, this POI is made up of many suburban houses and a large fast-food restaurant.

In Fortnite OG, the original Greasy Grove is back in the bottom left-hand side of the map, which makes it an ideal landing place if the bus is headed in that direction. Luckily, as there are so many buildings in this POI you can easily collect all the loot you will need by landing here.

An image from Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 of the Retail Row POI, which features several stores in a strip mall.

2Retail Row

Retail Row combines all the best aspects of a POI, as the entire area is made up of a flat parking lot for gun fights and multiple stores that provide cover and contain loot. The POI lives up to its name since the entire area is designed after a strip mall, and features many large department stores that all share the same parking lot.

This means that there is a plethora of loot for you to take, and also some fairly balanced terrain that will require your shooting or building skills to secure an advantage. If you do happen to win any fights in this area, you can then easily rotate to Salty Springs or Paradise Palms.

An image from Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 of the Tilted Towers POI, which features a town made up of two prominent towers.

1Tilted Towers

Tilted Towers is probably the most recognizable location in the history of Fortnite, as it has been included in multiple seasons and many different parody songs. This POI is made up of multiple concrete buildings and of course, a large clock tower that rises above the surrounding landscape.

As this is a central location on the map and also incredibly popular, there will certainly be a large amount of players landing here every single match. If you are not afraid of battling multiple teams at once, then this is certainly the best place to land for massive amounts of both loot and combat.
