Clunky Hero has a variety of weapons spread throughout each area of the game, with some being harder to find than others. Each weapon comes equipped with the same two parameters for stats: damage and range. These stats can also affect the output of skills such as your Heavy Attack, Arm Shot, and Mighty Burp.

However, because there are a limited amount of weapons in the game and most arehidden in secret areas on the map, some will be more useful than others, while some you may only find after you finish the game. Because of this, focusing on which weapons you should acquire is crucial if you want to complete the game efficiently.
8Drunk Priest’s Staff
One of the first obtainable weapons in-game is a quest-given weapon named Drunk Priest’s Staff. This weapon does a total of six damage with a range of five and can be obtained by completing the quest given by theDonpiero at the church, who asks you to light a candle hidden in the Pretty Forest area.
While this weapon is weak compared to most in the game, it’s handy when starting out, and you’re able to only use Brunilde’s Broom. And, as every other weapon needs some skill like Dive, Dash, or Mighty Burp, this is the best weapon to obtain early on to keep enemies from killing you quickly.
7Very Long Banana
The Very Long Banana weapon is obtainable after completing the quest by Truido in the Pretty Forest area. All you need to do to finish the quest is to go to Foggy Lake and find psyco syrup, which can be found hidden on the left side of the map, in water, on the third level.
Despite the seemingly straightforward quest, it’s quite vague as it only tells you that the NPC is located in a “cave” that isn’t on your map. And, as the item is hidden in water that you can’t see through well, scouring the ground is a waste of time. So, despite the weapon doing nine damage with a range of six, it’s better to leave it behind for something easier to find.
6Golden Hoe
One of the first secret weapons obtainable is a golden hoe found in the Dark Forest area. To get to this secret weapon, you need to have first acquired Dash from Teru Teru in the Stinky Dungeon. After that, next to the save spot in the Dark Forest, there will be two platforms you can climb, which will lead you to perform a Double Jump and then Dash to get inside a passage for the Golden Hoe.

This weapon does a total of seven damage with a range of six, and although it is weak, it’s a secret weapon that is practically in plain sight, making it the most accessible secret weapon to obtain. The only problem is that there are better secret weapons that can be obtained before the Golden Hoe, despite it being relatively easy to find.
5Mammoth Shin
The best secret weapon to find early on in the game is the Mammoth Shin, which can be found hidden in the Stinky Dungeon. To get this secret weapon, you need to head down to the dungeon’s fifth level while ensuring you’re entering from the right side of the fourth level. Once you get down, go directly right until you hit a passage down, go right again once down until you find a breakable stone floor. Break it open with Dive, and you’ll find the bone weapon.
Early on, this weapon can destroy enemies easily, while doing a total amount of 11 damage with a range of four. Although it does have a short range, it won’t matter much, as most enemies need you to get very close to attack them anyhow. As this is only in the third area of the game and doesn’t require Dash, it far surpasses the weapons you could get from the Foggy Lake and Dark Forest.
4Barbecue Fork
The last obtainable quest weapon is Barbecue Fork, located on the second level of the Wasteland area. One of the first quests you may pick up is a quest by Luna, who can be found on the tower’s east side. She asks you to find her husband’s skull, which is up top on the first level of the Wasteland.
This weapon does a total of 12 damage and has a range of six, making it the best quest-obtainable weapon in the game. It’s a perfect weapon to use until you obtain the weapons in the Frozen Peak area and Evil One’s Castle, as finding a new one after the Barbecue Fork becomes more difficult.
3Silver Broom
Easily one of the hardest-to-find weapons in the game is the Silver Broom, located in the Underground Passage area between Stinky Dungeon and Wasteland. It can be obtained by scaling the Underground Passage’s right wall. Silver Broom does a total of 14 damage with a range of six.

Unless you go out of your way to look for the Silver Broom, you will most likely not obtain this weapon until after beating the game. The Underground Passage is a small area that doesn’t require you to enter and is blocked by a wall that can only be broken by the Mighty Burp skill obtained in the Frozen Peak area.
2Frozen Eel
The Frozen Peak area is a hard-to-navigate place, as you’re able to easily slide into enemies that charge at you and explode. This is why it’s unfortunate you can’t get this secret weapon until after the entire area has been cleared and you obtain Mighty Burp from the boss. Once you do, go down from the fifth to the first level, where you’ll find a wall that can be destroyed. Behind it is the Frozen Eel.
As it’s the second-best weapon in the game, it does a total amount of 15 damage with a range of five. This weapon is perfect for exploring the World’s End area and can even be used to explore and beat the Evil One’s Castle.
1Super Cool Sword
In the last area of the game, you’ll find the best weapon, simply called Super Cool Sword. As soon as you enter the second level in Evil One’s Castle, you will find a part of the floor that can be broken with Dive. As soon as you break it, you’ll be dropped in a hole with the shining sword at the bottom.
The Super Cool Sword does 18 damage with a range of seven, making it drastically outrank every other weapon. And, with theever-increasing difficultyof levels and the boss fight at the top, this sword is absolutely needed to beat the game and save your wife, Brunilde.
