ThoughBatmanis known for being serious, his adoptive children and friends are often quite the opposite. And even in a game without the Joker, there’s still plenty of room for some good laughs. InGotham Knights, you’ll notice Nightwing actively clowns on his fellow teammates, often through painfully obvious puns.

But for other characters, humor can be more subtle. Whether that’s having a dry take on a villain, or roasting another teammate, the team, and the game in general, they manage to bring a happy silver lining to the story during a time of grief. These are some of the funniest moments in Gotham Knights.
7“Freeze Can Control The Weather Now.”
The banter between the Bat-family is part of what makes the game so good. Not only do their discussions highlight their strong bonds with one another, but they also make light of dangerous situations.
At this point in the story,Mister Freeze has created a weather machine in an attempt to freeze Gotham City. The humor here is dry and obvious. Robin is confirming that Freeze can control the weather in response to Nightwing’s question. But part of what makes it funny is how ridiculous the situation is. Of course, in a place like Gotham City, a villain has discovered how to control the weather. And for the team, this is business as usual. There’s no shock here.
6Nightwing And Superman’s Owl Puns
Nightwing is always teasing or trying to make his teammates laugh. A lot of these jokes are super obvious puns, many of which revolve around the Court of Owls.

But you probably didn’t expect that Superman is helping Nightwing brainstorm these puns. Superman suggests “I was up owl night on patrol” and “Hoo-dini.” Nightwing uses the latter in an email to Barbara to reference how stealthy the Court of Owls is, and suggests they start “talon” the truth about the group in a separate email. He even goes as far as creating encrypted emails just to keep up with the gag after being blocked by Batgirl.
5Jason’s Bluntness Around His Death
Jason Todd died as Robin and has been resurrected as Red Hood, and he won’t let you forget it. His past is constantly being brought up, but Jason manages to make light of it. While characters dance around the topic, Jason will straightforwardly address what the others are afraid of saying.
The characters will become immediately uncomfortable once the topic is broached, and Jason thrives in that discomfort by bluntly addressing the situation. Whilethe topic of his death itself isn’t comical, but rather heartbreaking, it’s funny to watch Jason navigate the often awkward conversations surrounding his death, especially because the topic is almost always mentioned accidentally. Maybe Jason is reflecting on his therapy sessions, using humor to cope.
4Harley Grades Your Performance
Early in the Harley Quinn side missions, where she’s reclaimed her doctorate, rebranding herself as Doctor Q., one of the Gotham Knights will need to interrupt her sales presentation. Of course, Harley has planned for this, planting multiple bombs in the Monarch Theater to keep you busy while you fight other brutes.
After completing the first boss battle, you may feel fairly accomplished, but Harley won’t let you have the satisfaction. She’ll give you a failing grade withnotes for improvement for each individual character.
3Supergirl As Transportation
When they’re not fighting crime, superheroes are just like everyone else. Inan email between Batgirl, Black Canary, and Supergirl, the trio plans a trip to a concert. While organizing transportation, Black Canary suggests that Supergirl flies the group to the venue, rather than buying plane tickets or driving.

Kara jokingly pushes against the plan, telling her friends that she isn’t their personal taxi service. It’s fun to learn of the characters’ plans outside of their vigilante careers, but it’s even funnier to picture Supergirl carrying her friends across the country to listen to music.
2Clothing Mishaps
You may not see this on account of a patch, but a number of minor bugs and glitches afflicted Gotham Knights when it was first released. Maybe it’s easier to ignore while you’re fighting bad guys, but it’s hard to miss when it’s happening in a cutscene.
One bug that many players saw was an issue with Jason’s hoodie drawstrings in the Belfry. He’ll enter the room during a cutscene with his drawstrings floating in the air, pointing outward. It’s hard to take him seriously as you watch him walk around the room with drawstrings that could probably replace his dual pistols as weapons. Aside from Jason’s drawstrings, you might even catch Batgirl and Robin wearing their capes on backward.
1Nightwing Looks At His Own Ass
They may be family, but they’ll be the first to humble one other. Aside from his skills as an acrobat, Dick Grayson is well-known for his butt. It’s a common joke among Bat-family fans thatNightwing’s ass is one of the most popular things about him.
It’s so popular that Gotham Knights finds a place for it in a cutscene. During a heart-to-heart with Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon, Batgirl reminds Nightwing of how well she knows him because of their previous romantic relationship. She calls him out on how often she catches him checking out his own ass in the mirror.
