Walking simulators don’t appeal to certain crowds, butDeliver Us Marstries to add some more to the genre. The game is mainly about moving slowly through a story, but it will throw some navigation challenges, collectibles, and puzzles your way. There is even a moment where you’ll feel the pressure to get the main character Kathy to safety, or risk restarting a whole section.

Because story-heavy games try not to be too distracting, Deliver Us Mars doesn’t have many achievements in the way of do-something-that-sounds-impossible. Still, there are some tricky secrets to find and feats of gaming to perform to get the hardest achievements.
8Chronicler
Where would the space exploration genre be without scanning technology? As simple as it sounds, we still don’t have easy access to a machine where we can point at something, and it will tell us all about it. On thistrip to Mars, Kathy is aided by her futuristic suit and her friendly flying droid, AYLA.
They work together in order to scan objects of interest, indicated by a shimmering blue aura. Unfortunately, the aura is not always easy to see, and it doesn’t appear on all scannable objects. Stay close to anything that might look interesting and wait for the prompt to pop up so that you can try to findall scan pointsfor this achievement.
7Pannapictagraphist
Comicshave made many appearances in video games, and several titles have them as nostalgic collectibles. They return once again in Deliver Us Mars, since Kathy read a lot of them growing up. Unsurprisingly, most of the titles have to do with outer space adventures, but there are some other genres as well.
They’re not the easiest collectibles to find, since the covers with darker colors can blend among random objects or hide well in dimly lit areas. Use your sharp eye and always check leisure areas so that you may find each one.
6Curiosity Didn’t Kill The Kat
Deliver Us Mars has a main story that takes center stage, but there are also many mini-stories to uncover. As you explore the different areas and interact with characters, you’ll learn new things about people and the past.

Although, this won’t tell you everything, since there are so many details that can only be found in the collectibles scattered throughout the game. Each one will fill in one of the several story profiles that you can access from the touchpad. This is one of the longer achievements since you’ll need every collectible to fully complete each story.
5Their Batteries Were Low And It Got Dark
While we haven’t actually been able to set foot on Mars ourselves, that hasn’t stopped us from launchingprobes and roversto investigate for us. It became a spectacle to see each of the rovers and learn about what they were doing while active. Though Deliver Us Mars takes place several decades in the future, the rovers are still common knowledge.
While exploring the planet, you can find all the different rovers that were sent before the first manned mission. If you have oxygen to spare, comb the surface for each rover to gain the achievement and see what happened to them.
4Kats Always Land On Their Feet
Despite all the walking that you need to do in the game, there’s also a fair amount of platforming. The sad reality of being on Mars is that it has a gravity similar to earth which becomes clear the moment you land. You’ll be jumping and climbing frequently during your journey over pitfalls and abysses.
This is understandable, but you’ll soon learn how fragile Kat is when she falls a few feet to her death. When you get to Herschel, you need to reach the elevator below after you’ve surveyed the area. You only have two minutes to climb down and drop quickly for this achievement, so prepare to crumple a few times.
3Quick Like A Kat
Water was found on Mars, which means it’s not unthinkable that ice could also be on Mars. As Kathy continues her journey, she’ll eventually have to traverse some icy plains. As if cold and less friction weren’t enough of a problem, you have another time limit to contend with.

This achievement will give you three minutes and fifteen seconds which starts counting down after you survey the base. Make it to Odum fast enough, and you’ll have overcome anotherice-themed levelwith skill.
2Shai-Hulud?
This achievement may sound cryptic if you aren’t familiar with theDune universe. To sum up, giant sandworms play an important role in the story. Now, while giant sandworms have yet to be found in our universe, that doesn’t mean we won’t put them in our media.
There’s a reference to this worm in Deliver Us Mars, since the planet is covered in sand. At one point you’ll make a long climb up into some wreckage. After you run along it and climb up a bit, you can look out at some large wire-like debris. Stare long enough at the sand cliffs in the distance to see signs of worms.
1Kat-Like Reflexes
Anything involving space exploration is going to have a lot of danger associated with it. Deliver Us Mars will put you into a lot of perilous situations involving damaged machinery, no oxygen, and extreme temperatures to say the least.
The structure themselves will also have hazards all around that can kill Kathy almost instantly. One of themost dangerous placesis the Tesla Chambers with threats throughout. Make your way carefully and methodically to reach the other end without a scratch and for this achievement.
