What is Honor of Kings?
Honor of Kings is a mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Level Infinite.
The game offers a wide array of game modes including Ranked, Classic, and Practice modes. Average play sessions last between 15 to 20 minutes, making it perfectly suited for gamers on the go.
With over 85 heroes to choose from upon its global launch, it allows for a dynamic range of playstyles and tactics.
Character types are broadly categorized into Fighters, Assassins, Mages, Marksmen, or Supports, enabling players to select roles that align with their play style and skill set.
Aside from the competition, the game promises a AAA experience on mobile devices.
It features high-quality graphics, effects, and immersive in-game cinematics, complemented by soundtracks from world-renowned composers — among the biggest is Hans Zimmer.
Who is Hans Zimmer?
Hans Zimmer is a German film score composer and record producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential and prolific composers in the film industry. He has written music for over 150 films spanning several decades.
His distinctive style, which combines traditional orchestral music with electronic sounds, has earned him numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards (also known as Oscars), four Grammys, and three Golden Globes, among others.
Zimmer is best known for his work on blockbuster films such as “The Lion King” and “Dune,” for which he won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1994 and 2022, respectively. He also worked on “Inception,” “Interstellar,” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
His scores are celebrated for their emotional depth and ability to enhance the storytelling and immersive experience of the films they accompany.
TiMI Studio Group partnered with Hans Zimmer for Honor of Kings main theme
TiMi partnered with the acclaimed film score composer Hans Zimmer to craft the main theme song for its mobile gaming sensation, Honor of Kings.
In a video published by TiMi Audio Lab in 2019, Zimmer talked about his experience and process in composing the soundtrack.
The decorated composer shared that he had an exceptional time working on the MOBA soundtrack, and even compared composing to playing a game.
“You get to go and enter this world, with your music. You aren’t playing the game. You’re being a character,” said the renowned musician.
He also talked about how he and his team approached the composition for the Honor of Kings main theme. “We tried to write something which was immersive, and would involve you and you would feel the excitement and the heat of being inside this game.”
In 2019,Honor of Kingswon the gold medal for the Game and Music Composer category in the Global Music Awards.
